Well for me it got to be pink floyed!

Must admit to considering a few Floyd tracks but not choosing my fave .....
Emily tries but misunderstands, ah ooh
She often inclined to borrow somebody's dreams till tomorrow
There is no other day
Let's try it another way
You'll lose your mind and play
Free games for may
See Emily play
Soon after dark Emily cries, ah ooh
Gazing through trees in sorrow hardly a sound till tomorrow
There is no other day
Let's try it another way
You'll lose your mind and play
Free games for may
See Emily play
Put on a gown that touches the ground, ah ooh
Float on a river forever and ever, Emily
There is no other day
Let's try it another way
You'll lose your mind and play
Free games for may
See Emily play

Is woven indelibly
Into our hearts
And our brains"
Paul Simon - 'Train in the Distance'. From 'Hearts and Bones' where ALL the lyrics are amazing.
Jezzay
A vast radiant beach in a cool jeweled moon,
couples naked race down by its quiet side,
and we laugh like soft, mad children,
smug in the wooly cotton brains of infancy.
The music and the voices are all around us.

One of my special favourite songs was partly on my sig for a while:
Goin' Back.
I think I'm goin' back
To the things I learned so well in my youth,
I think I'm returning to those days
When I was young enough to know the truth,
Now there are no games to only pass the time,
No more colouring books, no Christmas bells to chime,
But thinking young and growing older is no sin,
And I can play the game of life to win.
I can recall a time,
When I wasn't afraid to reach out to a friend,
Now I think I've got
A lot more than a skipping rope to lend.
Now there's more to do than watch my sailboat glide,
And every day can be my magic carpet ride.
And I can play hide-and-seek with my fears,
And live my days instead of counting my years.
Let everyone debate the true reality,
I'd rather see the world the way it used to be,
A little bit of freedom's all we lack,
So catch me if you can, I'm goin' back.
(Written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin, recorded by The Byrds, Dusty Springfield, Carole King, among others.)

BARBRARA DICKSON ..........drift Away
When i have had a few to many wines!..wow what a song to listen to!
My taste in music is not very cool to say the least. But hey we are all friends here and I'm use to being abused about it
Quote by Lucinda Williams - Sung by Mary Chapin Carpenter
Is it too much to ask
I want a comfortable bed that won't hurt my back
Food to fill me up
And warm clothes and all that stuff
Shouldn't I have all of this, and
Passionate kisses
Is it too much to demand
I want a full house and a rock and roll band
Pens that won't run out of ink
And cool quiet and time to think
Shouldn't I have all of this
And Passionate Kisses From You
Thought this thread was for song quotes. ?
As we are doing the full lyrics I would like to give this one a place on the list to fame smile .
I hold your hand in mine Love,
I press it to my Lips,
I take a healthy bite
From your dainty finger tips.
My joy would be complete,dear,
If you were only here,
But still I keep your hand
As a precious souenir.
The night you died I cut it off,
I realy don't know why,
For now each time I kiss it,
I get bloodstains on my Tie.
I'm sorry now I killed you,
For our love was somthing fine,
And till they come to get me,
I shall hold your hand in mine.

CQ,
nothing to be asamed about nothing wrong with MCC,
if all of us liked just the one style we would be a boring lot. I constantly surprise myself in terms of musical taste.
I have actually found someone else here who likes acapela eastern european female choirs, no I do not jest.
So CQ stand tall stand proud

Another MCC fan here ..... I've loved her music for about 10 years alhtough haven't kept up with recent stuff .... Her song "He thinks he'll keep her" changed my life smile
Anything by Freddie Mercury.
The man was a genius & a very sad loss to the music industry.
(I am really hacked off I missed the documentry on C5 about his lovers the other day)
I could listen to his music 24/7.

Was listening to that as I posted great song - I really believe music can inspire and "change your life". Long time ago when I packed up and left someone very unpleasant with the help of MCC - I left the CD behind in the empty room for some advice for him.
Some Lyrics don't seem the same with out the gravelly voice but these are favourites to
Quote by John Martyn aka by me as God
