Strictly judge Arlene Phillips said: "I'm always sad if a contestant leaves of choice, because you are always expecting to let the public vote them in or out - but John is his own person and he has his own reasons for doing this.

The show is there for pure entertainment (not my cup of tea, but whatever floats your boat)
If the public like to see JS dance because it's funny then thats great.
The judges are taking it all too seriously. It's not a dance contest, it's a tv entertainment show.

I disagree, if that is what the voting public want, then so be it!
They want (I think) to be entertained, and he was in their eyes doing that.

Isn't it an entertainment show? Well he provided as much entertainment as all the others put together. Check the viewing figures!
If the judges wanted just people that could dance, or had the potential to become dancers, then he wouldn't have been invited on in the first place.
I won't be watching this weekend.

I agree although I think there was an element of the 'buggeration' factor/bucking authority in the voting. smile

I sincerely hope they do not bring back Cherie Lunghi. She was the only one who bitched and criticised John Sergeant when she got chucked off. If anyone was taking it too seriously - she was.
