I like to try and be a bit descriptive about myself in a name - but I wouldn't want to put anything identifying, if you know what I mean.
Thanks
SurreyNewbie

What, you mean like actually using your real name?
So that's where I went wrong biggrin

not really no.....
dunno
I've never really understood the reluctance to use your own name, but I guess everyone has their own reasoning.
I would never consider using my real name  :eeek:
Tallulah wink
Anything but surrey contacts . . .
that one is already taken
SC
Now I know its sneaky, but bloody clever if you ask me, why not use your own name but just spell it backwards, then no one will instantly recognise you.
So as an example if your names bob then just register it the other way around........bloody clever eh :smug:

...You could always go through the membership list ...

Hasn't the membership list been removed?
On the other hand, this Surrey thing is really helpful in identifying who's where....maybe I should change to Surreyehaf... biggrin .....
Mind, does anything actually happen in Surrey? I hear...and hear....but somehow never see!

Bollocks  You've just blown me cover cos I had already turned my name around, now everyone will know that I'm Sri Lankan and my real name is Jevad.

would tend to agree with Yehaf. Your name says that you're both from Surrey and that you're new. Look on the positive side...being from Surrey may be a good thing...i cannot say. Being new might get you inundated with contacts from people looking for fresh meat.
oh..and hello btw biggrin

exactly my point...now had your name been bob then spelling it backwards wouldn't have looked too bad and there is the added bonus that if someone inadvertently does turn your name round as dawn did with mine then your still not compromised cos no one really knows the difference :smug:

My problem is that if someone I know managed to put 2 and 2 together, and work out who I am, I'd be very embarassed and have difficulty with family/friends etc. I noticed that some posts on here pop up on Google - so you don't need to be a member here to come across stuff.
And I don't want to use a different real 'name' - whereas a nick to hide behind is safer (or just feels safer!).

I would die a dozen deaths if my family found out we were on a swinging site. For a start we would no longer have child sitters.
The way we look at it, how many other people could be called Dawn and live in the midlands. I'm guessing that there would be a fair few so how on earth would you know for sure which one is it? You wouldn't, specially not if I deny it :lol2:

Still dont get it. I appear here there and every where, but how on earth anyone is gonna associate the forum dave with the real dave is beyond me. As I said everyone has their reasons and the fact that they make not a jot of sense to me is niether here nor there.
If I was looking for a name to hide behind then in my world of logic I'd call myself.....sofa
