According to an article in todays Daily Mail a new phone app has just been launched in the uk called localsin which gives you information about 'willing' matches in your immediate area and a real time 'passion map' showing as they call it a list of 'compatibles' Apparently the app is free to download although I would imagine there will be some costs incurred somewhere along the way. It sounds like it could have definite potential for arranging meets
Were working on apps at the moment, the first ones will be android only, iPhone will follow. Were starting off with a photo upload, later videos from phone and then development of other parts depending upom what people request, we will need to run a survey for that. We are also working on video in chat for ipad etc although due to the way it works there may be a bit more of a lag due to the way it needs converting. Now if enough people wanted an app that tells them who is where and willing we could certainly look at building something, the simplified (I hope) version of meet today should go up later today, so maybe it could be an app extension of that
I believe there are already apps out there. A friend of ours in the pub told us about it. I will have to find out what it's called. He said that the only problem is that it tells you when a swinger walks into your vicinity but you don't know who it is!! A similar SH app would be good though :thumbup:

Why bother? I'm using the HTC Desire and the site works perfect.. well a few glitches. I can access the chat, view cams, reply to emails..... Like I'm doing now from my handset. But thanks for considering an APP, truth be told I wouldn't use it, happy with what I have, that said you might introduce it for the IPhone peep, they're missing out lol
Ooo yeah, something that you can check in with and it tells you when you have selected user groups ehich you select within a given range, say 1 mile. Then you get the option to msg them through the app... Imagine that when your out in a 'nilla nightclub... Could be useful lol.

I take it that's because Apple stuff doesn't use Java(or similar)? No Flash/Java on Apple iOS devices, only HTML5 which does support video so there would be a transcoding required to make it work hence the lag, but we already have a 10s lag on SH cams compared to other sites which are shorter

Downloaded it - whilst installing - operation failed not enough disk space !! Installing onto my 8gb microSD with free space! That's weird, the application's weight is 156k ( ) check if your internal memory is empty and try to install again..

I'd rather they tried getting the simple things right first. Like the search facility in the ads for instance, if I put in age ranges with 30 being the lower limit, i get far too many below the age of 25, which is not featured in my search.

Moved a few Apps to MicroSD installed perfectly.:thumbup::thumbup:
I had a look at the app thingy and it wouldn't work on my phone ( typical eh ) but I did like the idea of the map function on the site. Whilst I appreciate nobody would want to have their house pinpointed it was good to see who was in the general area. The thing is that a swingers site is much more than an app but I would say it would be a great asset to SH if they could manage something similar.

ALready using the App to get and respond to messages. ALso upload pics and vids. Enjoying it so far. Although i am going to email the developer to 1. Rename the icon to SH or something and 2. Put a protection feature on it.
Will the eventual app have the ability to block profile types, i.e certain ages, distances or sexuality? I hope so, THAT at least would be an improvement on the site!
