Taboo subjects

I have been reading posts to threads only lately.
As I thought this was an open adult forum to express your views, be able to ask someones opinion and to have an adult debate. But it seems unless you are fluffy, show love at all times, keep it unopinionated its fine to post.
So I would say yes there are a lot of topics, they would be any ones you have to think about. wink

i agree .... altho one good thing came out of all that ... richard allinson had a show on radio 2 yesterday which i found by accident cus iv not listened to radio 2 for ages cus its generally crap (in my opinion)!

Threads don't always have to be fluffy, light or sexy to work in the cafe, Minx.
What needs to happen is that some people need to stop making every subject into a political argument.
Some people are baiting other members and twisting everything they say (even when it's clear that it was just an opinion or an unambiguous statement), to make them 'wrong' or making them feel as if their comments are misguided in some way. People are made into pariahs then, when the thread turns into personal attacks and vitriol.
Regarding taboos, I think the only subjects that shouldn't be discussed at any level are illegal drugs, and sex with underage children. Anything which is sensitive could be given a thread title which makes the content clear so that people can avoid it if they wish to.

time for me to rejoin this thread.
I actually posted this thread originally to find out if there was a thing that people WOULDNT feel comfortable with reading about.
I come in here for an escape from real life mainly, but this time I needed the advice of impartial strangers, but as Im not a post and be damned person, I thought I would test the water before I posted my request for help.
The thread kind of went a bit tits up and turned into a 'brand/ross' debate, then yet again into a personal digathon, which to be honest really gets on my tits....why have sly pointed digs at people in a lot of the threads....why not just come straight out and say it dunno

I really have had the week from hell this week, Im not saying my life is any worse than anyone elses, but to ME its pretty damn major, and I come in here to see if I can cheer myself up, just by reading others funny, sexy or daft and fluffy posts....but just lately this place bloody well suck for that mad
