Is there anything at all that should never be open for debate in the forums on here?
any subject that you would complain to a mod for the thread to not only be locked but removed too.
or is everything fair game until it gets out of hand and/or a row starts?
for instance I was going to start a thread about suicide, weather it was a brave or a cowardly thing to do....but decided against it as i didnt know if this was the place? or weather it was an appropriate subject matter for a sexually oriented site.
so is there anything u would feel would be a big no no or does it not matter.
Yep there are lots of things mrs B and some start off as a good debate then unfortunately end up in people getting banned, so In my opinion I would rather steer well clear of subjects.

I think it depends if the thread is started as an entertainment, or as an education.
Some things will get locked/removed as quick as you like..try asking about erection enhancing pharmaceuticals and see where it gets you. biggrin
I would hope most topics would be able to be discussed as after all this is an adult forum.
I would stay clear of politics and religion myself.
But other topics we should be able to have a good debate on in a mature adult fashion.
People will always have strong views on certain topics we have to respect their views I believe even though we don't agree. There has been some good discussions here I believe.
I like to hear others views on different topics I just don't like the bickering.
As long as inside the rules I would say try it and see!
I never discuss religion. I've suffered at the hands of sectarian bigotry when I lived in Scotland so I always stay clear of that subject.
Politics and football are two more I steer clear of.

Dunno ...maybe you missed my post above !!
But two very famous personalities using state funded (that`s our money!!) public service broadcasting, to harrass an 80 year old guy by singing about shagging his grand daughter..........on air !!!
Yeah !! ffs that is ...the wankers should be hung up by their balls !!
so are you more pissed that they harrassed an 80 year old or that it was done with the aid of licence fee money?

I'm just pissed that neither of them are particularly funny. Joke phone calls on air are nothing new but, like any other joke, they do need to be funny to work.

the thing is...if it was an independant station, would it have got all this fuss!
I thought they were hilarious!!! lol
The way this has been blown out of all proportion and the way a lot of people are reacting, you'd think Russell had his grand daughter and Wossy had murdered Mr Sachs.
For crying out loud, whats all the fuss about? I thought the dialect between these 2 extremely witty people was fantastic....sorry if my view offends anyone but, in the grand scheme of things it was a laugh. Maybe a laugh that got slightly out of hand and a laugh at someone else's expense, but a laugh nonetheless.
A lot of people need to get a grip of themselves over this, the whole financial world is in meltdown and Gordon Brown is commenting on this "issue" rather than concentrating on important matters. Ridiculous confused
MrC
Would people consider the discussing of thread hijacks or spelling errors ?
NB: IMV Russell Brand is about as funny as herpes.

They will always be sensitive and emotive issues that arise in the cafe - the Termination thread is one I can think of straight away. I think all the posters in that thread responded with great thought to other posters who disclosed personal experiences.
If people answer with sensitivity - most subjects (within the AUP) can be discussed. We don't always know what's happening in peoples private lives and I'm sure some have been upsetting in the past to some members.
The subject you mention would be uncomfortable reading for me, hence I probably wouldn't post. I would read it though - seeing a discussion that has impacted on my personal life sort of draws you to read.
I have always thought that drugs issues should be allowed more as its an emotive and interesting topic relevant in the here and now, worthy of debate.
There should be no subjects.
People should post about what they like as long as it is with tact and understanding

i thought all swingers thought descretion was paramount? how would you feel if a couple you just swung with named you on your local radio station?
Thats a bit of an unfair comparison wouldn't you say? As swingers we're still seen by the majority of vanilla folk as "not normal" and the social stigma surrounding our activities is, in itself, .
Had you asked "how would i feel if a woman i'd just had sex with named me on the radio" then my answer would have been "i couldnt care less".
Straight, consensual sex between a man & woman is socially fine and not many people would bat an eyelid, swinging between two couples however is not and a lot of people would bat lots of eyelids.

I have to say that the analogy doesnt fit.
RB and JR were not having a laugh with the lady that RB had sex with.... they were making jokes to the girls grandfather... which is pretty sick ....and to use the buzz word of the moment, .
don`t think house work should be talked about on a sex site
the only thing that really annoys me about the Russell brand/Jonathan Ross debacle is the Faux outrage afterward.... kinda like the jade goody/Shilpa Shetty episode on big brother ......
It just feels as if this has just snowballed... and a lot of people are outraged for the sake of being outraged.....
I am not defending what they did at all... juvinile at best, but just how many of the people who have complained actually listened to the show, rather then just seen the transcript? in the contexted of what they were doing........

I wonder how many of those are members of swinging sites?

but people are batting eye lids, hence rb has resigned and jr has been docked 12 weeks pay because of this.

People have completely over reacted...the amount of coverage this has recieved you'd think the pair were mass murderers!
I didn't hear the original broadcast and since seeing it on a well know site I haven't complained but I have to admit to being appauled at what these two thought fit and funny to broadcast....
Brand has resigned.....I suspect it was an easy way to get out of his contractual obligations so he could piss off to America (and the Americans are welcome to him) and Woss is suspended untill New Year.....Big deal....
The controller has resigned......I suppose as she was in charge then she has to be responsible for her staff but Woss should suffer the same fate I believe...
I still cant believe they believed it was entertaining and fit for broadcasting....
