I've got google maps and the RAC back up hunni
As a rule - not keen on them.
Not keen on big/ugly tattoos ... and would never get one myself of any size ...
... a small tattoo in the 'right' place can be quite sexy though.
i have a very large tat on my upper arm, done in American ink over 20 years ago, it still looks good. it's very intricate and took 2 hours to complete.i like it, my husband hates it,but i wouldn't have another one.
i don't mind tattoos obviously since i have one but would rather 'whole hog' jobs than just one or two dotted here and there around the body.
During my mid life crisis i had two tatooes at the same time.....both the same..my first and my last
I love my tatts, I have four at the moment and have another three in the planning stage.
I really wanted full sleves - similar to what De_Sade described with lots of images which have personal meaning, woven together in one design..........but Den put his foot down (and my parents would hit the roof)...
.....So, in the pipeline we have
A vine type design starting at my big toe on right foot, weaving across foot and along ankle, up calf. It will start as just a vine, but with the possibility of having images woven into it at a later date.
I already have "The First Kiss" tattooed on my lower back, I want a V-shaped tattoo below that, in a feathery type pattern - I actually got the insperation for that one of a wallpaper design and the fabric of a waistcoat in a wedding outfits catalogue.
The other one I want might sound a bit sad - Its the badge of the front of a 3rd gen RX7 - The infinity symbol with a rotar around it. That will be a small one on the back of my neck.
They will all be in shaded black ink as I don't like coloured tattoos on myself.
I really like the modern/ 50's style tattoos on other women. i.e Bluebirds, anchors, hearts and dice all done in vibrant colours. But although they look great with piercings, flesh tunnels, funky hair and very styleised clothing I don't know how they will look when they get older.

Tattoos can be sexy and a turn on for me, but not if they are tattooed like the Yakuza (Japanese mafia) and its a design that will stand the test of time. Nothing worse than saying "oh i like your British Bulldog tattoo" only to find out it was a portrait of mum !!
newt is having one done soon, her choice and one she asked me to design especially for her.
