Back in my younger days I had two tattoos done, one on each bicep - both well done and in no way a jailhouse tat, since then people have drawn strange assumptions about me which have got stranger as i have got older.
Plenty of lasses seem not to like them so it is a question of taste but what do the majority think.
erm, i have tattoos on both arms and really like them, however cant answer your poll as dont want a tattooed lover!!! maybe if maz was here she would do it? And hope she wants a tattooed lover, otherwise im fecked!!!!!!!!!!!!
Japan, I was thinking 'do I bring it up or not?'
In Japan tattooing was used to make criminals. They took the mark of shame and turned it into art, and a mark of honour with their own community, Yakuza. It means 'risk taker'. Tattooing is almost compulsory within the yakuza community. It is their for not used in wider Japanese society. To be tattooed is to be part of organized crime, or possible a fireman.
I lived in Japan for two years, and as de_sade has stated having a Tattoo will put you well out of the social norm. Only two types of people wear Tattoos “Yakuza†Japanese gangsters and Fire-fighters.
I don’t have any at all, and have no real desire to have any in the future. However I don’t mind them on others IF they are well done.
Stormwalker………..Now Branding on the other hand sounds fascinating
I did find a lady with full length pair of wings once. Black, tattooed from shoulder to leg. That did raise my interest.
I love tattoos on both men and women, as long as they aren't the tacky, old-fashioned Indian ink ones. I don't particularly like names on tattoos either.
Chris and I both have tattoos and we love them. Never had any complaints about them - if it put someone off that much, they aren't worth it - it's just ink, after all.
I love tattoos but not that fussed on Inkman ie covered in them  I like to see them on the top of the arms and back. Full arm ones are ok but not just one on the lower arm and I don't like to see them on the neck either.
I've got 2 myself only small ones though. One's on my shoulder blade and I've got a new one on the top of my arm which used to have my ex hubby's name on but now is a lovely rose. I was told by some work colleagues that in the Phillipines, a woman with a tattoo is usually an ex con
Anyone watch Miami Ink on tv? Some of the designs are fantastic !
your turn Sassy
you're not wrong, there is a lass with a beautiful buffaloes skull at the base of her spine who cuts my stamikna by half if we go doggy style
I still havent seen one that beats Tabbi's though :inlove:
I thought hard about adding to my small collection of tattoos. I wanted to have some larger peices done.
Realising that they are a turn-off for some people and that they sometimes cloud certain peoples opinions, I decided that I have to live for me a little and accept the drawbacks along with the rewards.
After all, I don't want to be sat some day, looking back at my life and wishing that I'd had the courage to do the things I wanted to, instead of conforming to the 'norm' as I saw my father do. He died too young, after worrying himself to the grave about what everyone else thought of him. What a waste!
I say, bring in the ink!
Voted turn on, but only small ones. I don't have any tattoo's myself.
definitely a turn on, i also like full sleeves on men and prefer big ones :rascal: i wish the one on my left ankle was bigger, i just didn thave the guts at the time!
going for a large on one my back next
