Tattoos are fantastic as long as u choose the rite one, smile I have been tattooed now for over 25 yrs, Yes i have had cover ups done, and im at the point now were i think my tatts are the best they have looked. biggrin
Both my arms are now sleeved, 1 on each thigh, each calf 5 on my back, my chest and at the mo in process of belly been done down too the top of my groin, had first sitting 2 more to go
And i wont stop there i dont think, they are so addictive loon
In my job i have a lot of contact with the public, and i think i have had just 1 person comment that the tatts look horrid, but the rest ask questions, does it hurt how long that take, the norm, and on a couple of occasions they even asked me too take my top off to look at rest redface .
And the attention you get and comments you get is a feel good factor also.
Any way back to the question that was asked at beginning of thread, lol. Just make sure your 100% certain of the tatt you want nd were you want it, and your sorted.
Oh one last thing, .
Right i'm going, you all probably bored by now bolt
Voddie, I didn't know you'd got tats confused
Maybe you can show me some time dunno
:giggle:
Dawnie, my pleasure babe. :rascal:
i myself have had seven tattoos done various designs and husband also has a couple.
all i will say is dont have names, have it somewhere discreet so it can be covered if need.
i am now trying to decide on what design to have as my next one
i would love to have 1 tattoo, of somesort of churub with my sons name somehow put in but i have not dared and dek does not like them
One day i will though
i love tattoos, and like someone else said, be warned theyre veryyy addictive, i liked them so much i bought a studio   xj
Just to update you all... I'm still on the look out for the right design so think this may take some time. all the advice on here has been fab tho biggrin
will def get pics on if and when....

They very much a personal opinion, i have had tattoos and now i wish i'd nver had them, don't get one just because others say they a good idea and make sure its something your still going to like in 20 years because its still going to be there lol

Just wondering NN, why do you wish you hadn't had some of your tattoos?
I've always wanted a tattoo, but never sure what to go for or where to have it. Main reason for this is what is fasionable now, might not be in 20 years time. Also, when im an old lady, how would it look to see an oap lady with a tattoo?? seeing as tattoo's are common in the youth, will u really want one when ur in your 70s/80s?? this is my main reason for not getting one as of yet.
but at the end of the day its down to each and every person, whats right for one may not be for another jus make sure your 100% happy before getting it done x

The way round that is to have it on a bit of flesh you're pretty sure you won't be flashing when you have a free bus pass lol

i just don't like them any more, i think it was a case of being to young when i had them and not really thinking about if i'd still want them when i was older, i hate it when i'm on web cam and people say nice tattoos, because they arn't and i think people just say i as a conversation point, i don't dislike tattoos at all i like to see them on others if they are done well i just don't like mine smile
Many moons ago I had facial tattooing in an attempt to give just the slightest hint towards a human appearance.
It has faded over the years sadly, and now, as demonstrated in the current avatar, I have regressed.

Not a fan of tatts myself. One or two are ok but I think that they are addictive and you can end up looking like graffiti if you're not careful .
Fair enough if your older and pretty sure you want them forever, but teenagers getting them done every few months seems sad to me, as if its a form of self harm. Also when you fill in every inch of your arm or back its difficult to tell what the picture is of .If its in a place youi cant see, like ur bum or the middle of your back , then why bother? Sorry but I prefer art on the wall where I can enoy it and change it when the mood takes me.
I like tattoos although I don't have any myself. Pom had one done when we were in NZ in 2004 (a Maori moku design) ... he was 42 by then so it wasn't an impetuous thing.
Now, 4 years later, he's just booked in to have 2 more big tribal ones done on his upper arm / shoulder and his calf (being done on Sunday). I agree with the others that it's not a decision to be taken lightly due to the permanent nature of a tattoo.
Three of my 4 daughters had small tattoos - mostly chinese writing and I think they look great. As for being a pensioner and having tattoos ... they're so popular now for women that there will be a LOT of female pensioners called Kylie, Paris or Scarlett with tatts in half a century's time!
Its true to say they don't quite have the same impact as the years pass though ... my dad, an old sailor, had one done of a rather voluptuous woman on his forearm many years ago. Now he's older and recently lost loads of weight and it has evolved into a pretty good likeness of Victoria Beckham! lol
Had my first tattoo aged 43 and loved it. Had a few more done since and wouldn't be without them. But it is a personal thing, you have to want one.
hello stranger!
were yours done locally Mr Bass?

mrs cuk says yah - she has a few and loves em .... mr cuk says nay - possibly the only tattooless fella in town
but if your asking the question I would say its not for you

As someone that has tattoos and will get more this really doesn't bother me - if i make it to 70/80 i'll be bloody happy enough biggrin
I have 40 tattoos, if I make it to 70 or 80 years old I will have more things to worry about than looking good on the beach like where my comode is.
Seriously though the right tatoo on the right place on the body can enhance it. The wrong tattoo in the wrong place can look very odd.

lol, never really thought of that, in fact its kinda made me consider having one even more lol
Personally, I love them. Especially complete wrist and arm bands. I haven't got any yet but I would like a large one down most of my back, arms, legs and stomach.
Maybe one day!

Tattoo's good or bad..
Well it took me nearly 10 years to find the design i liked to have as my first tattoo..
My partner knew i was having the tattoo done, she said to me as long as you know what you want go for it..
Plus i did show her the design i had for my first tattoo and she loves it...
So now im planning my second tattoo later in the years when i get some money together (why do tattoo's cost so bloody much?)..
If any one can answer that question please do ..
