The art of flirting

Well you lot of nutters can you help out a confused Mr Tweeky

:
Earlier today had one of those led in bed looking at the ceiling coversations with Mrs Tweeky. After having just been to the Bristol munch we discussed "flirting" which of course was a part of the munch evening smile

I told Mrs Tweeky that she was a real flirt :) on the evening and we discussed some of the goings on that happened, snogging, touchy feely :) etc and how this came about. I then contemplated who I had flirted with and came to the conclusion that I didnt flirt with anyone, or not that I am aware that I did. Not to say I didnt fancy anyone wink

cus I did I just didnt flirt sad

I did interact with others at the munch but the interaction was always initiated by another party, I still enjoyed it though :)
SO I have had a little thinking time and I spent a little while reviewing in my mind not just the munch but also my life (total thinking time 1m 33s) lol

and came to the conclusion that I am not a natural flirt :( I had never contemplated this before so this was a bit of a revalation from me to me. I recognised these three key points.
1: I do not flirt
2: I do not realise when people flirt with me
3: I am obviously a flirt numpty
So is this an art that can be learnt/taught or is it a totaly natural ability? Were you at the Bristol munch? did Mr Tweeky flirt with you thus proving himself wrong? Or is Mr Tweeky doomed to a life of a non flirtatious man :?:
Ok sure you can all see the intended funny side of this but my question is a genuine one, so fire away biggrin

There are many things about first time munchers that make me smile warmly and sometimes laugh out loud. (in a good way)
On this topic, I've been fortunate enough to see loads of people change over a number of munches.
From the rabbit caught in headlights, quiet unassuming, sat in the corner all the way across to becoming semi-nekkid barrel dancers.
I'm not suggesting you are any of those Mr Tweaky - I wasn't there :cry:

So is this an art that can be learnt/taught or is it a totally natural ability?

Yes.
I think initially, it's easier to return/join a flirt, but over time it becomes second nature to some. Particularly in a munch/social environment.
For me personally, one of my "life problems" is that I react to people with similar emotion/attitude to that presented to me.
And remember, you don't have to be stood with someone to flirt - it can start long before you're close enough to speak wink

Well I was there and ya didn't flirt with me, but then I wouldn't have known cos I think I'm a bigger flirt numpty than you. I have no clue how to do it and absolutely no clue when someone's doing it to me, unless they come out with those imortal words "suck on this, luv", (which no-one did by the way)

Don't worry about it mate... you did a lot better at your first munch than I did...
I am very bad at picking signals up I try to flirt but not sure if I am always succesful..
And as for your flirting ability... well lets just say someone there did really like you so you can't have been doing too badly.....
H-x sorry didn't have the courage to come to speak to you... will sort that out at the next munch we are both at... and I will drag my sexier half and the tweekys over as well....

1: You don't have to, as long as you feel comfortable then that is all that matters. Making any attempt to flirt that isn't natural will seem a little odd. Don't worry though, for most I do think flirting does come with time.
2: Neither do I half the time but you do get better at picking up the signals biggrin

3: Many of us are but it does get easier :rascal:

Legend has it that I flirted with the midwife that delivered me!
I fully believe that flirting is actually easier for girls than guys....we have more "tools" to use.
Its the subtle things that make a good flirt- the flicking of the hair, the crossing/ uncrossing of the legs, looking up at someone and holding the gaze for just a second too long- and of course that sultry "im yours" smile.....
Guys can flirt extremely well, but need to call on different resources.
Make a girl laugh! Its the sexiest thing a guy can do. Be interested in what she says......
and if you get the "im yours" smile, tell her what a beautiful smile she has!
Master classes in flirting are available.....
I flirt without even knowing it, which can cause problems......
I now have my martial arts instructor flirting with me in class! rolleyes

Annoying really coz on the floor i'd rather just be "one of the lads". Oh well!

It's a well known fact that there are some things men just CAN'T do ! Working the washing machine, tuning a new video/dvd player and flirting to name just a few. I'll admit to being one of the world's biggest flirts but only with people I feel comfortable with taking it further. It's fun, sexy and can such a turn on when men do it right so here's a couple of tips for you to try. :thumbup:
