A couple of weeks ago, I was at a motorcycle trackday, where we had a bit of a party afterwards, on the evening with a great unsigned band called INFERNO.
This amazing group of three young guys really rock, and do deserve a recording contract. There are many other unsigned bands that are worthy of the same. Have any of you people seen any good unsigned groups/artists lately that you think deserve more recognition?

hm... I'm not too convinced... but maybe it's just my taste... They sound like they might better live by the way they have the same name as a Norwegian black metal festival
Having heard them live, I can honestly say the Inferno, reall, REALLY do rock. They are one of, if not the best new band I've heard in a long, long time and I really do hope they get a record deal in the very near future, because I know they will be VERY big.

Well if we're mining the rich seam of drummer jokes... Q: What's the difference between a drummer and a drum machine? A: With a drum machine you only have to punch the instructions in once. Q: How can you tell when the drum riser is level? A: Drool comes out of both sides of the drummer's mouth. Drummers....bless them. Each of those gags could do with a comedy cymbal crash at the end.
I'm an unsigned act too. I've even had a couple of singles out and frequently perform around London. Now, ask me how long agothose singles came out... (Sigh)

But then I'm biased as I'm a semi-groupie of the band as i've taken loads of live gig photos of them and some others of the baseist for my site.... shes beautiful, can sing, can play, but sadly has a BF :cry: I also think the drummer and lead guatare are also well hot... but again have BF;s :cry: :cry: :cry: I think I'm doing really badly being a groupie as I cant, and havent, slept with any of the band :cry: :cry: :cry: :lol: :lol: :lol: What ever happend to the good old days when people in bands were single.... (damn showing my age, :lol: ) On an above comment about sound and quality......... There are only three ways to get a great sound (from a non-professional) Ramp up the sound and play live.... the atmosphere and distortion makes most things sound good! Spend 10's of thousands in a studio, mix down, re-record, and mix down untill its perfect. Naturally be able to play note perfect and sing note perfect with a style of music that doesnt need volume or distortion. Talking to the groups i've photo'd they know when the sound set up/venue is good... myself I just know if I like it and couldnt tell one venue sound system from another! That said... i'm usually at the front and often with one of my ears stuck next to the speaker stack so I can get a good photo (makes note... get some blody ear plugs before I go deaf!)
There are so many great unsigned bands and artists around these days and for sure, the internet has opened up a whole new wolrd of outlet for them to make themselves known to the people and music industry. I've always wanted to be in a "rock covers band" performing some of my favourite rock tracks from down the years................. ahhhhhhh maybe one day.
Just uploaded a few sketch tracks to a website. Bare in mind these are sketched recorded in my small home studio - my best friend is the singer on Song 1 and Song 2. I just record a guide vocal and then she visits me and sings it properly! I play all the instruments and I have written, produced and recorded all the tracks. Don't be too hard on me!

Ceers! Yes Beta is free. I don't know how good it is or how much coverage UK bands etc get as I only found it today to use it to upload some songs. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I really like the stuff you uploaded too Do you have much in the Electronica/Industrial genre.......just if you do I can pass my sis's club night info onto you as she is always looking for new stuff to play and plays quite a lot of unsigned bands. Les x
