but weve got to tell everyone we know...and as you lot are such an important part of our life here goes
..........a few weeks ago we mentioned in a thread that the bravest person we know is my "our". ickle sister (14 now) , the reason she`s so brave...well she was diagnosed with hodgekins (cancer of the lymphatic system).(stage 4). she has never once frowned or moaned..has always kept a smile on her face, is the most positive person in the whole world, she is strong in the face of the crippiling `chemo`, she cant even walk or write properly yet still found the time to dictate a letter to my (daves) mum....to be sent to tony blair (which was a scathing attack btw :giggle: ), she even kept the cancer a secret in october when we were married, so as to not spoil our day and we were told when we returned from honeymoon, (she is the best bridesmaid that we could have hoped to have ), when she lost all her hair....you`d think for a 14 year old pretty girl ..that losing her hair would be the end of the world! but no! she jokes about it with my mum (daves) she takes the piss saying she looks like Golum (lord of the rings) every time we see her me and mrs ninja and my (our) sister are in fits of giggle all the time, i really wish all of you have someone as positive an influence as her in your lives, she truly is an  .........................................
right to the good news...........all of her tumors (4) have disappeared finally so she has a short stint with the chemo, then she`l be on the mend.........now i dont imagine this news will have an effect on many of you but we just heard the news of my mum (daves), and our hearts jumped 100 mph out of our mouths.....we were and still are gobbsmacked, happy, joyfull, amazed :thrilled: :smile2: ....and we truly believe that her positive approach and amazing attitude has beaten this illness ....thanks for listening you lot ...and sorry if you fell  :D
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

What a beautiful post :rose:
One extremely brave and strong young lady - also lucky to have one hell of a family around her, judging by that post there. Bought tears to my eyes that has
Give her a hug from me.
Isn't it funny - people here that I've never met, barely know, and I'm sat here grinning like a cheshire cat for you
Bluddy brilliant news
she`s already been spoiled rotten biggrin every time anyone asks her what she wants , she says she dont want anything else...bless her, although when she`s a bit stronger she wants to go to alton towers in her wheel chair so she get fast track on the rides .........
the bugger :giggle:
she didnt learn that from me  :D

I've missed this but have to add my congrats on the good news.
My then 9yr old stepdaughter was diagnosed with leukaemia about 18 months ago and it ripped our world apart. She wasn't immediately responsive to treatment and for a while it was really touch and go and looked about 80% certain that she'd need a bone marrow transplant, but the hospital tried one last ditch attempt and it worked, so well that her consultant has stated that if things carry on this way that she'll have the all clear by the end of the year.
It's sounds like you've got a battler on your hands, just like we had, and it affected us all a lot more than it did her.
So from one cancer affected family to another .... we're so pleased and tell your sister that we're all proud of her too.

Just been telling my wife more details(while she's in the bath, no photos unfotunatly) And she says to tell your sister she is one of the bravest people she has heard of. As one cancer sufferer to another, stay positive and keep well. We are both thinking of you and hope you get really better soon

wow. what a fantastic and inspiring story,
it`s amazing how we can get wrapped up in our own problems,
problems that at the time seem to be so overwhelming, it`s funny how i have forgotten most of mine now.
we do, forget that there are people out there that are facing what would seem to us to be unsermountable odds, and yet even in the face of adversity always have a smile for others and a cheery word to say. them people are few and far between and always come as an inspiration. as you said, that is probably one of the main reasons your lovely sister has come through all of this. she sounds like a true credit to her family and i wish her and yourselves all my heart felt congratulations and all the best for the future.
thank you quimninja for shareing this with us on s/h.
i for one have been moved by what i have read and didn`t fall asleep once.
once again all the best!!!!!!!!
ps hope you can read this through all the spelling misstakes. lol
biggrin :D :D dont you just love positive news!!!!
im very very pleased for all concerned.
