well am due me upgrade tomoro and have been lookin at the nokia 5800 just wondered any one been gettin a new phone and how do ya rate it , i had the n95 brill phone just the battery life let me down so looking to see what you have got and how you rate it.

is it reet on the iphone ya cant forward texts ? That is the biggest fault it has I generally don't forward many (to tight to line the pockets of the provider) so it's not a biggy for me.
i have the n95 with sat nav built in its fab but if u have the sat nav on without using the battery saver it then lasts for about an hour but with the battery saver can last for 4 hours on sat nav. just using to general chat and text it lasts about 24 hours and if no calls etc are made/recieved then can last 4 days .. sounds like a dodgy battery to me. for my next upgrade i am considering the nokia 5800 or nokia e63
I have the LG Viewty. It's purple and girly and touch-screen thingymajigwotsit... It's okay. The only thing that is stopping me getting an iPhone is the fact that I get my broadband free with Orange, so until they do iPhone on Orange or I work out a reeeeeeally cheap broadband deal, then am stuck with what I have.

I had the LG Viewty prior to the iPhone LOL for all of about a week then Morbius bought his iPhone and I was hooked. Luckily I never sorted my mobile broadband out until after I had swapped from Orange.

I recommend buying a mobile phone from a mobile phone manufacturer, and a media player from Archos
I have a SE K750i - and could weep that it will need replacing soon. It has a really bright torch on it that I can't find on any other phone. It's saved my bacon many, many times!

Thats not a torch! its a flash :giggle: Sooo is a torch- ask Winey! Actually, you can set it to flash an SOS message too... I did use it in my escape- I keep a folding shovel in the memory card slot
I had a Nokia N95....... tried to get a N96 out of orange for nowt, but they would not budge.... So ended up upgrading to the nokia N85..... I have been really impressed by it so far..... and I use it like a 8GB Ipod as well, and if you are really smart you can use the BBC Iplayer on it... as a test I downloaded an episode of Hustle.... works brilliantly

n95 8 gb. love it, my battery last a good 24 hours and thats textng , talking a fair bit etc, in fact i think it last if fully charged for about 3 days and 24 hrs if ive been on the sat nav,music player,video recorder alot. i love it. the camera is really good to. dont like the iphone, it doesnt have a camera and few other issues with it re texts etc. xx fem xx oh and have a fantastic signel with 3g on my nokia. i only ever have nokias.
I have an HTC TyTn II, and also a Samsung G600, the Samsung is about to get replaced by a SE C905, I went from a SE to the Samsung on the strength of the spec, but the Samsung is horrible to use, the software it uses is poo.
I'm on a contract so every 12 months I upgrade to the latest phone, not that I can use them so I end up selling them :twisted: I can only use my little simple pink VK 530, and when it dies I replace it with like for like for about 20 quid
I got a Nokia 6300- simple and easy to use. I prefer Nokia and not for the ring tones lol. I am due an upgrade and also looking at the 5800. I have a Blackbery Curve for work that I love BW

Me too i would'nt have any other phone now days, i have a W910i at the moment, tried the iphone when they first came out, personally i did'nt rate it that much and it lasted less than a week before i changed it, the N range in the nokias to me are just rubbish, i've had two different ones and both battery lifes did'nt last the day out, which is no good at all really lol
Mine's a Motorola V8 and it's been nothing but trouble The battery life on it is crap and the keypad is loose so it clicks when I'm texting. Also the flip lid wobbles a little when it's closed. I've reported it as faulty and they've offered me a Samsung G600 as a replacement. Trouble is, I have to return it before they send the replacement so I'll be phone-less for a few days :shock: My work phone is some Nokia housebrick
A cheap one with the biggest buttons I could find having once again washed and tumble dried my old one. I do wish they would make mobiles with bigger buttons.
I have my daughters old Alcatel, it is fine to text and make calls, Battery life is rubbish. But you can retrieve texts you have already sent and send again, which was a function my friends modern phone could not do. But I guess it is what functions you would like to do, this phone would not suit everyone.
