Where do you go for Christmas

I'm lucky. Mum comes to us late in the day and I drop her back before dark biggrin

Just long enough for us all to enjoy ourselves without getting pressured.
Christmas may be about family but it should never be a stick to beat ourselves up with. If someone you happen to be related to is a miserable git who makes everyone else miserable and moans all day - don't invite them. You can always go and visit them for an hour on Boxing Day.
If you wouldn't spend a wet Saturday in May with them - why let them ruin your Christmas?

My advice based on what we have to do is try to alternate Christmas between the two.
Like us, one year we stay here to be with my family and the next year we go to Ireland to be with his family.

Hopefully the outlaws wont mind you spending some time with your family seeing as you've spent alot of time with them.

Ive stayed at home with my children for over 21 years and i like it that way... decided to do this after going to my folks one year and having the worst row ever!! Said never again, no way, and its not even discussed nowadays... we all stay home and chill out and we love it!!
Besides my sister would hate it if i turned up, her nose would so be pushed out!!
Bitter, me?? never lol lol

Every year we traipse 150 miles down south to *Him*s parents, back home then 250 miles oop north to my parents then back home. I've done that since I moved out of my hometown over 7 years ago. I only get the standard days off work - no extra so it's a real pain in the butt.
This year we said screw it. We're staying at home. If you want to see us then come to us. Guess what? I now have to cook Christmas dinner for seven adults and a child lol

My parents, my sister, boyfriend and niece and *him*s mum all thought it was a splendid idea to come and stay from Tuesday 23rd - Monday 29th :shock: I guess I asked for that :lol:
Next year will just be the 2 of us. It will be our first Christmas as a married couple so we're gonna hole up and go nowhere. Bliss
