why some other members think they can give abuse or rude comments to people on here when if they dont like what they see they can look at a different cam or seems that it is getting worse we all were very tolerant not so long ago
oooh easy one ..its done because their peers do it too and they feel they fit in with there little group better ... baaaaaaaa baaaaaa
i only give rude or abusive comments to friends i know as it is banter that we use ... it is not intended to upset anyone just be a giggle i would never intentionaly be rude or offensive to anyone i didnt think would take it in the jovial mannor in which it was intended....the only times i have meant what i have said is when they were abusive back and not in the joking manner in which my banter is about
yea think you've got a good point it probably is a sign of insecurity.

what annoys me is when I have banter with a friend in chat, and the mod takes it seriously and tries to wade in and get involved. I got banned from the entire SH website for saying 'lol, retard' to one of my friends in chat, and I don't even remember the mod's name, they just kept saying I needed to behave myself... I didn't say anything offensive after that, I merely stated that I was joking around and he went crazy and whacked out the banhammer. ugh. abuse of power and anonymity goes both ways on the internet.
you often see abuse handed out in the bbw room peeps think that cause we aren't ya perfect size 10 then we are fair game to abuse these are obviously knob heads that do not know anything of wat is considered to be a good swinging attitude of being non judgemental
if something is not your cup of tea then you just walk on by no need to be nasty to them there are plenty of peeps on here for them to be able to find thier perfect cuppa

Dont take too much of an offence at the odd nana or two!
There is always a couple that will disrespect you when you are on cam.
The others watching usually sort them out on your behalf.
If camming is what you want to do, just carry on and enjoy yourselves!
xx
If some members are being that offensive - report them via button on profile. Chat logs are checked and dealt with fairly.

Sorry to hear about the problems you previously had - I don't know the history or who was involved, but perhaps I could give a view (personal one, not an Op one):
Some words people use - even in banter - can cause upset for other members. I guess we all have our personal tolerance levels but the use of some words may well get an adverse reaction even if they weren't meant to be hurtful.
I hope this might go some way to explain the start of the difficulties you had (although I must stress I'm not commenting on how it was handled). We're generally an easy-going bunch but if you ever think you've been dealt with unfairly you can contact Admin direct and they will investigate for you.

Have to agree on that, these mods and ops are so tolerant of stuff that goes on in the forum and in chat! Possibly because it is a swingers site?!
A lot of other sites would lock down threads, and ban folk left right and center!!
Most people are rude and abusive because either they are insecure in themselves , dont feel they are significant or are on the recieving end of abuse. They are to be pitied.
What does anoy me is when someone cuts and pastes inoffensive whispers constantly
so and so whispers hi how are you
why cut and paste ???? is it to show u get a lot of whispers? Is it because u cant ignor them? do u not like people saying nice things ??
we a funny bunch aint we?

Yes in the room, and if within the process of the room chat with someone a subject or request comes up that is felt better to be a whisper. Just ask "can I whisper".... It's all about manners.

I couldn't agree with you more
If they don't want the whispers, I sure as hell don't wanna see them pasted into the public room! I HAVE done it myself on occassion but NOT with the occassional 'hi' kinda stuff - more something that's wildly offensive.
E.g. I had a guy accuse me of being a in whisper because I was in a hotel looking for a meet last Saturday before the Wigan Munch confused I felt that other members in the room at the time needed to see it so that they had some idea of what kind of character they were dealing with. Needless to say, I used the appropriate channels and the guy was dealt with (although we think he saw the writing on the wall and deleted his account before Admin. did).
What I really like about this site is that if you use the processes that are in place in an objective and logical way, the Chat Ops and Mods will support what's proven to be unacceptable behaviour 100%.
I also agree that with some it's definitely part of what I call the 'power game' on here - i.e. as you say, so that others can see how many whispers they get. I've heard comments like 'it's OK, I'm not shy, you can say it here' - again, you might not be and neither am I but I have no desire to see the chat-up lines of somebody who wants you. Even on a site like this, some things are better said in private.
The sooner there is a 'block this member from whispering' or 'block whispers' facility the better.
Phew... cool :P

we saw that mentioned ..be interesting when that comes along..personally we dont mind the whispers... but then we dont get hundreds ..to me they are a bit like winks ..we get them we ignore them but at least they let you know folk are looking, at times that in itself is nice to know..hardly gonna hurt us are they.. so wil people use the no whispers button? i wonder or will they just learn to ignore the eejuts that dont ask?
good point was made earlier about being able to choose who can and who cant whisper..now that would be a nice bit of software ..
wonders if the mids room and others like it would ever be the same without the ritual humiliation of the whisperers tho...
From the Chatroom Newsy bit:
24/03/2009
Block whisper function has been removed for bug fixing.
24/03/2009
You can now disable whispers! In the tools menu select 'Disable Whispers'.
I'm in there now and I can't see it on the tools menu....

But why do u have to discourage bad manners? is that your role in life? I got better things to do with my time and energy.
Can u not just ignor whispers they soon get fed up and go away and you have not either played into their hands by cutting and pasting or been trivial about a mole hill which then becomes a mountain.
Swinging is about fun lets keep it that way.
