great munch..thanks to nwc..even tho i didnt recognise her with her clothes on.....
great buffet.. took enough butties home with me to last all week at work.. and also enough packed lunches for my alleged "daughter" ffs.....yes she is still milking this for all its worth...
only one gripe..why do people put there name down for munches and then not turn up...without even the courtesy to ring or let you know.... ok gripe over...
But thanks to every one who turned up..in costume or not.. was a good night out...and big big thanks to nwc for all their efforts...."Dad" enjoyed himself FFS

judy - the voice of reason...however..with up to 40 no shows..seems like an epidemic of babysitting letdowns....
I was purely thinking of NWC who had specially moved the venue at their own cost to accomodate the extra numbers!!!...
David and Judy, think I had better say something here. Infact you are both right, yes we did have a lot of requests to come to the munch and yes we did find another venue which we had to pay for. However, thanks to the 'collection' which was sent round, we did cover the costs of the room and I did get my 'Insurance Deposit' back from the venue(cause no one went on the grass). However as David said, over 40 people who had asked to come did not turn up on the night. The majority of these did send a pm or phone me the munch or the following day, to say they could not come and I fully understand that we all have reasons why we have to cancell, I have had to cancell myself in the past. Some of you may know that we nearly had to cancel on the night thanks to our nephew who decided to have an accident on his motorbike at 4pm on the day! Luckily we got him sorted and thanks to Ginger Jo stepping in at the last minute, we still got the munch on time.
However, what what David might be getting at is that a couple (and by that I mean a few people) did confirm and said to me they were coming to the munch. However, they e-mailed another member of the site to say that they never had any intention of coming. I contacted the people just to ask if they still wanted to come and they all confirmed they were still wanting to attend. However, as it happens they never turned up on the night and have not been in touch since!
I do realise that we all have reasons why we dont turn up for various events, and like I said, I have been there, dont that, and in no way think that any blame, or criticsm should be placed on the these people. What I was annoyed about was the fact that a small group of people were actually trying to take the p**s and had asked for an invite when they had no intention of ever turning up. What makes it worse, is that I dont learn. The same people did this at the first Wigan Munch!
I was not intending to post this on the forum, but as it has been mentioned I feel I should explain what I think David was referring to.
For the people who did contact me, please do no think that any of this is aimed at you. I fully understand that circumstances change and I do not want you to be offended by this post.
So, can we now leave this and move on to something different please?

do they not understand that if we don,t answer it means we don,t want them to come in ! 
afterwards we opened the door and there was about 8 queing up and as we tried to get out they tried to get in and the 2 nice guys we were with helped me out 
, and nice to meet mr and mrs cums 
and thanks to Fabio for being good company , and everyone else we spoke to . A big hello to scandal once again
