One of my fave words is cwtch, which means a hug or cuddle in Wales. It's a lovely warm and comforting word and you can cwtch just about anyone. When you see the traditional Welsh lady cossie, the shawl she wears is a cwtchy, used to wrap babies close to the mother's body for warmth as Mum goes about her daily work.
Cwtchy blankets are still made here for babies, usually crocheted. I've still got my youngest son's cwtchy blanket smile
