Barrack Road, Newcastle

This is a large, secluded area of cruisy woodland for doggers, MILFS, gay, bi, CD, TV, TS, only at the far southwest part of Leazes Park, as it borders onto Barrack Road, the A189.

The best way to access the cruising area is to walk from Newcastle city centre up the A189 past the famous St James's Park football stadium. It is just a 17-minute walk from Newcastle Central railway station up the A189, passing St James's Park football stadium on your right side, until you pass the Esso petrol station (left side) and turn right just before the Black Bull pub onto the footpath which leads into the park. Pass through the black iron-wrought gates which states “Leazes Park” and immediately turn right, past a ruined house which used to be known as the Tower Cafe. You turn right and come out into a large field with the spires of the St James's park football stadium in front of you. You need to head into the bushes and woodland close to the road you have just walked up – Barrack Road, this is off to the right, close to the road, but hidden from the road.

The bushes and woods are dense and you cannot be seen by anyone, despite the Goth kids who hang out in the main meadow smoking marijuana. There is blue metal fencing bounding the football stadium and lots of bushes and paths through the bushes which border Barrack Road, the A189, but which is separated and isolated from the road, meaning you cannot be seen yet there are lots of places to cruise without being seen. Lots of sex litter and sex dens.

Mainy cruisy areas: these are the bushes and woodland closest to the Barrack Road and the St James's Stadium. https://w3w.co/latest.melt.nuns and https://w3w.co/cycle.boxing.shield
Head for: GPS 54.975731, -1.625283

The land slopes away down to the bushes in such a way that you cannot be seen by people sitting in the main field. The bushes are only used by cruisers.

Cruising tip: you should be able to see the top of the architect-designed St James's Park football stadium in the background when you are looking at the woods. Go to the right, towards the railings and Barack Road into the dense bushes and woods,

Nearest parking would be: St James's Park car park, located at Barrack Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4SE (minimum parking charge £1.00) or parking on the street up near the Black Bull pub,

MILFs, swingers, doggers, mostly gay, chavs, bi-curious lads, workers, businessmen, sleazy fuckers, tv, ts, cd,

This is the only place in the park for cruising.

Afternoons, evenings, dusk and after dark, of course.

Head into the bushes which line Barrack Road. There is an extensive network of paths which are all cruisy and bordering the blue metal fence of St James's Park football stadium. There is no sex elsewhere in the park, only here.

Only in the deep bushes.

The Goths who sit in the field and smoke marijuana, although they cannot see you and most of the time don't care. You can still enter the woods and bushes without being seen by anyone.

Mandela Way woods nr Metrocentre train station

Vast area of bushes and dense woodland on wasteland to the northwest of Mandela Way, Gateshead. Coming from Metrocentre station, as Mandela Road bends, there is a grass bank with a path, go through here onto the runway past the tyres and explore the woods. Completely secluded and hidden away. Lots of fucking in the woods in the afternoons. Sometimes busy, sometimes quiet. Less than 60 seconds walk from the layby parking on Mandela Way.

What3Words is https://w3w.co/vouch.path.freed
GPS: 54.961444, -1.663782

Gay, straight, bi, TV, TS, CD, bikers, suits, cyclists, runners, occasional doggers, all age ranges.

The entrance to the cruising area is located at:

GPS: 54.961444, -1.663782

There is plenty of parking along Mandela Way towards Metrocentre station, alternatively you could park at CostCo or at the station, or come on foot from the railway station.

Afternoons, evenings, all days of the week.

Park in the layby next to the abandoned motorhome or at any of the spots along Mandela Way. Leave the car and walk north along Mandela Way for 60 seconds (away from the Metrocentre but towards Costco). At the point the road bends to the right, there's a grass bank with a well-worn path on the left (GPS: 54.961444, -1.663782). Take that path and you are now on the runway with the woods and bushes stretching as far as the eye can see.

At the far end of the runway, there is a wild grassy spot where you could strip off.

Anything goes. You can't be seen in the bushes and woods. But as always, be discreet and respectful. The area is rarely used by anyone other than guys looking to fuck.

This area is completely wild and overgrown, consequently there is some broken glass, burnt tyres and rubbish. However, the area is safe and growing in popularity now that the Arena has been demolished.

Cross Lane woods, Dunston, Northumberland

Huge secluded wooded area, very popular (July 2022) with gay guys. Lots of fucking in the bushes plus two Fuck Chairs.

The layby is where Cross Lane meets Wellington Road in Dunston, Gateshead, 2 miles from Newcastle city centre. The layby is only for parking, no sexual activity happens in the actual layby. There's enough room for 10 cars. Alternatively, you can park just around the corner in front of The Fed building on Lancaster Road (60 seconds walk away).

To reach the cruising area, from the layby where Cross Lane and Wellington Road meet, you'll see boulders at the back. Walk past these and 20 seconds on your right, you'll see a bank of earth in the bushes and someone has tied a pink flag to a tree. This marks the entrance to the woods. You go up that slope and are immediately in a long tunnel of trees and cannot be seen by the outside world. This opens out onto a long path stretching over 200 metres. The area is completely fenced off and secluded, with paths running in all directions into the woods and bushes which is where the cruising takes place.

Naked sunbathing behind the mound at the top. Sex dens at the far end. Woods off to the left with sex dens. Woods off to the right with lots of paths. Two Fuck Chairs.

Alternatively, for shy guys/girls, park at MetroCentre shopping car park outside Marks and Spencers. It's free and there are 10,000 spaces.

From Marks and Spencers in St Michaels Way, cross the road and follow the quiet lane round the back, you can sneak into the woods unobserved. Using What3Words, you can follow the lane by going to https://w3w.co/wicked.buzz.robot and then walking to https://w3w.co/glow.actual.looks. When you reach https://w3w.co/paid.points.friend this is the actual entrance to the cruising area again marked by the pink flag hanging in the tree.

The place is 95% gay cruising, but there are some male/female couples that also go. Great at any time of the year and active from mornings onwards right through until dusk. Younger guys/girls go there from 5pm onwards (coming out of work).
