1. Circa end 2005. The site changed. I moved to another site, then another, maybe a few more. Still came back here, now and again, to arrange sex with people not on other sites.
2. Circa end 2008. Made a conscious decision to stop swinging, no need to come here for sex. People I had made friends (as in real life friends) were on my social media by then anyway. No need to come here for chats/social.
3. Present. Perfectly happy on other social media. No reason to start swinging again. It got boring.
S'it really. Politics did get in the way in 2005/2006, but long since put away that shit. Just moved on with my life, I guess. I prefer people's real life posts elsewhere, and pictures of their cats, than hearing who fucked who. S'all.
To be honest, this pretty much sums up my story/feelings too. So many real life, forever friends have been made here. I'd genuinely say that at least 75% of my closest friendships started on this forum and we now know each other's families and spend a lot of time communicating, if not in each other's company.
And us too. Swinging got in the way of real life problems for us, well not so much got in the way but priorities changed etc. Kids are older now so despite us thinking it would get easier, it's not as they won't go to babysitters now without 40million questions! ;) I have 90% of my closest swinging acquired friends on Facebook now and their friendship is more important to me than chasing experiences! Although i'd probably not say no to many of them! :twisted:

Having spent most of the evening going through old threads crying with laughter, smirking at in jokes, wondering whatever happened to "the ball" and trying to remember if I ever had it, trying to work out the exchange rate for goldfish and did anyone ever get a hello back from the invisible member because at some point everyone said Hi Jack ;)

We have three bins: general, plastics and compostible/garden/cardboard. At the time I was working alongside the council's waste department and also managed to get a composter.
We went through a period where our daughter was very ill and it was completely unpredictable. The times we had to cancel meets or attending socials was ridiculous. Most people we were meeting knew of our situation and it was always a given that it "could" happen.
Those who weren't regulars on here or didn't know us could have quite easily thought we were just timewasters so we gave up meeting people.
Can imagine the uproar if we'd been named and shamed for consistently having to pull out of meets!
Whilst you might think it's timewasting, and I agree there are some who do and some who give odd excuses, but if you genuinely don't know the people then you can't be sure that something bigger isn't happening in their lives.

See I have this argument with my Mam ALL the time! I have to have gluten/wheat free stuff and so effectively bread is out now. My mam bless her, buys me the wheat free warburtons stuff!

I completely agree and take your point, however, having been ill for a year now and consistently being told "stress" by my doc sometimes even the professionals give it out as an excuse.
I work for myself so in a different situation to many so I've had to work regardless
