Control of small handguns by law affects ONLY the law abiding citizens.... Any criminal intent on killing and maiming other people will ALWAYS be able to access weapons ....that is ALWAYS !!!!
Only the innocent victims suffer when the right to defend yourself is restricted !

Gun ownership doesn't give you any protection; that's just a fanatasy. The chance of bumping into a burglar is tiny. The chance of being able to access a safely stored firearm before bumping into the burglar is minute. If you look at US statistics, the chance of accidently shooting a member of your own family is a lot higher than the chance of facing down a burglar. If you want to reduce the chance of being burgled there are plenty of effective steps you can take, like fitting decent locks, making an alarm system visible, fitting external lights, creating sight lines onto the house's entrances.
If you want a gun, go and get one - they are not illegal. You can get yourself some very nice and effective shotguns and rifles legally in the UK.
Just remember that gun ownership for self-defence against burglars is a myth - US figures show the victim of a burglary is more likely to die if both they and the burglar have a gun then if just the burglar has a gun.
And as for guns vs knives and bottles ect. You have a fighting chance of scarpering from a knife. Out running a bullet or 6, on the other hand, is not likely.
Some criminals will use what ever weapon they can get there hands on, the more legal guns people have the more likely a yank style school killing, and there would be more illegal guns on the streets than there is now. (like a cold war arms race)

I had a dog when I was a boy that liked to lick and swallow stones. 3 or 4 times these stones where to big for nature to take its natural course He had to have an operation to remove the stone or sometimes stones from his belly.
He would also try and shag any bitch on heat within 2 miles of our house. He would escape from our house and disappear for hours on end. We would sometimes get phone calls saying he had been spotted trotting through the village or someone complaining he was at his house door trying to get in to say hello wink to his bitch.

books - fact or fiction?

Fiction most of the time.

We are very new and green with no proper meets as yet. My lady has picked up a couple of blokes when she goes out (with my blessing of course) hump , but not yet had a proper meet up we are still very nervous and the idea of our first meetings being with a hardened swinger/s I think would make us even more nervous.
But saying that I suppose it would all depend on what the other person or people are like we wouldn't wanted to be treated with kid gloves but don't want to be bullied either.
Its probably not how hardened the swingers are, but what they are like as people that makes the differance an idiot is an idiot how matter how much or little they swing. But I know nothing, so maybe due to our lack of experance I am talking poo. :confused2:

What would you put on your list of things 'you'd like to do before you shuffled of thid mortal coil'....and do you think you'll ever get to do them?
One of mine was to join the swinging scene (even if it was for a brief time) and go to a real swingers party.
I have lived such a dull life so far, and wanted at least to be able to look back and say to myself 'hey at least I was a little bit daring lol '
I wouldnt want to jump from a plane or wrestle a bear or anything (far too chicken for that, but its nice that I can say ive done one thing on my list)
Another thing is to go to Mexico, but as of yet that is an impossible dream......maybe one day tho smile
What about you?? Whats on your list?

Being nosey Mrs Bonedigger why mexico? Wouldn't of thought it is anything to do with category 5 huricanes.

architecture - georgian or victorian?

Thats a hard one I like both but probably go for Victorian as there tends to be more shape to them.
But at the same time i like the unfussy elegance of Georgian houses. :bs: smile
Furniture: ikea or antique
Have not played for about 3 months. Went to the driving range a few weeks back and it shows
Going on a golf weekend at the end of september so got to get some practice in soon. I was playing off 21 (I know I could do better) with my m8s but not a member of an club, so it is an unoffical handicap. When I next play will probably need to go up to 28. Bandit time.
