In my early 20's I used to love the American shows - especially Jerry Springer (Go Jerry! 
) & Rikki Lake (:inlove
but have never been a fan of the holier than thou I've been there and done that oh really dear I dont fookin think you have somehow

but I cant stand that arrogant twat who's on in a morning (:kick:) as I work with a young woman who's mother (in her infinate wisdom
) applied to the show and got on it, and 'we' begged and pleaded with the girl not to do it..tried to stop it...but inevitably couldnt ....the mother came out looking and smelling of roses after airing all her daughters dirty laundry in public and it was very obvious (to us in the know) that it was ohhhh so one sided, didnt paint an accurate picture at all, and has effectively lead to this girl being the laughing stock of her village and attempting suicide :sad: - and this from a show where she was promised counselling and support, but instead was belittled, made her cry on national TV and the mother is a local hero 'because of all she's had to put up with' 
The counselling never did materialise - and all in the name of daytime 'entertainement'. Chat shows should be fookin banned as far as I'm concerned and Mr Kyle wants a personal biatch slap from me - along with a 2 page letter of formal complaint and a professional report about just how one sided the portrayal of this particular family really was. :x

I have in the past 'stayed away' from events due to rumours and character assassination attemps to which I wasnt sure what my reaction would be in person.....but....we grow up, we realise idle gossip and people who talk behind your back but wont say it to your face are as insignificant to you as they are to life here itself ...and you rise above, dig your fookin heels in, and get your bloody name down! we dont want to be spoon-fed hun, but you will learn pretty quick that here on t'internet, without being able to see facial expressions or tone of voice, just how easy it is to misinterpret or take things the wrong way, or assume things that arnt there. It doesnt have to be black and white, but staying out of the grey shaded areas also helps You posted a thread to which you evidently want replies, but using imagination, filling in the blanks, and adding 2+2 to make 5 is never helpful in the long-run.

Going from what Marya suggested, I love this organisation: You can 'give' anything, from a single bee to a donkey or a fruit tree. Imagine later on in life knowing your father 'planted' a tree for you that has effectively enabled the survival of an entire family in another country :inlove:

its very easy for me to sit here and say this, but why not just give your ex a call? half an hour and a chocolate rabbit is all you're asking for.......but as we dont know the circumstances, why not open your daughter a bank account in her name, put the equivalent of easter eggs and everything else in it, and when she's old enough to understand, a copy of every deposit slip in a card - that way she'll see you were thinking of her, even when you couldnt be there.

one of the best things, imo, about the forum itself is the ability to go back over previous posts. The 'search all posts' button is an absolute godsend and effective tool for 'researching' and checking someone out :lol2: - well, it is! and I dont think i'm the only one that uses it in that way
