I am so not the person to be doing make-up parties :shock: , it would consist of black eyeliner, wine, and just slap it on luv it'll be rayt followed by more wine and a couple of absinthe drinking games and lots of 'lady love' to really piss the blokes off because they would be banned :lol2:

But for work, its heavily toned-down - no foundation (on most people I think its just too heavy for work and looks 'orangey' in daylight even when you've found the perfect tone-match
...but then it depends how good your skin is - a touch of finishing powder, eyeliner and mascara is usually more than enough & I dont bother with lippy usually cos the whole point of make-up is to define features not cover them, so, for me its eyes all the way and neutral everything else

Not only disrespectful to the organisers, but to all the other members also - especially the new people, maybe people who are not altogether sure if they want to actually swing, just getting info and meeting people socially, to see if it's something they want to take further. a couple of folk are thinking of 'dropping in' en route back from the Munch...but I would say remember there's a £12 ticket price for Carnival itself which makes it a bloody expensive weekend if doing both - not to mention the stalls

Carnival is an indoor Goth & Fetish event with live bands, stalls selling everything from floggers and fetish wear to artwork and Shibari rope, food, plus performances & a BDSM style playroom for those a little more daring than I am :giggle:
There is a dress code: absolutely no denim/ trainers/ chav/ leisure wear etc - but of course, all rubber/ pvc/ leather/ cyber/ goth/ uniform etc etc is welcome! This is your opportunity to play full-on dress up & chances are you will not get in without it! :bounce: :bounce: At the very least, black jeans, boots and black T shirts are required Absolutely no cameras as all pics are taken (with permission of course) by official photographers (including an SH site member, so if you want photos, just ask!).

I watched a documentary a few years ago about the Great Barrier reef, and how simply by being there & disturbing the delicate eco-system we will eventually destroy it...'souvenier' bits of live coral, for example :sad:

essentially, if you're interested in someone but darnt pm them direct...maybe a bit of fun, a way of 'putting the feelers out and testing the water' or simply to tell someone how you feel, wish them Happy Valentines etc, send them a funny poem, a friendly hug or ask for a shag you could leave cryptic clues as to who you are, make it blatantly obvious, or just do it as a complete surprise PM your message to Sarah, she'll post it in the thread.

actually, thats a good point about avatar pics - my first few Munches & Socials were done entirely on the basis of recognising folk from their avatar rather than name... if I could recall av pics I could recall posts - and that gave me something to talk to them about :idea: worked well til we went through a phase of changing avatars
I would think its a nightmare for the badge-makers though ...although I personally would like to see the return of it :thumbup: :cry: why didnt you say so when I asked if there was anyone you wanted to meet/ were you OK , etc?
