what about the huuuuge boxes of biscuits for cheese?
..

bugger! you nicked mine! I like cheese and crackers any time of the year...but we're talking bob standard Jacobs and cheddar ! At Xmas time my main indulgence is speciality cheeses (mmmm wensleydale with caramelised onion ) on a proper cheese board with chive / black pepper & sea salt/ poppy seed etc etc crackers, with wine. I dont do stilton though :scared:
steady with those 's folks, it'll be seen as some kind of secret society nod soon!

...but with there being more local and regional munches and socials.... i don't think you will get the mix of people that you use to... it is sad but probably the truth....you still probably get a hardcore crowd who will try to get across the country as much as possible....but they become rarer and rarer.....

indeed - so, a good thing, or a bad thing? dunno

You know, it's often newbies who complain/comment on the 'cliques' in here. But I'm sure I'm not the only 'oldie' who sometimes feels right out of it, on the forum AND in the chatroom.
It's not always possible to make a comment on a thread that hasn't already been made - if it's a topic that's been done before, people may have said previously, what they think. That's nothing to do with who started the thread but newbies seem to become paranoid that their threads aren't being posted on. Then they think it's because of a 'clique'.

If I say  yep, agree with that FB.... does that make us a clique? rolleyes lol
This site has grown so much over the last year, as has the influx of people here that the 'oldies' feel out of place! miss a couple of weeks here these days and you have no idea who most people are, or they you.

There are bound to be those who have made a place very much their own and others on it's fringes. It's how you feel within yourself.

yep, agree with that too (oooo, twice in one post  that must deffo make me a gang member now dunno lol )

if you can afford it, and still have the munch bubble feeling, then good on ya Sarah!

I would expect it is a very individual thing which depends on the situation and people along with the mood everyone was in at the time dunno
Surely it is for the female to suggest or hint at what suits her dunno

 Dawnie
Intimate, it may even be that she enjoys that roughness and speed as part ofyour swinging activities, and has encouraged you to do it in a particular way because that's what she enjoys with you. She may not want you to do as he did, or to be fingered like that often dunno
I also wonder if she 'allowed' him to be quite rough because you were there, it was just something she was happy with in that situation, and if, had she needed to say stop, she knew (in a trust way) that you were there to ensure it. (i hope that makes sense, it doesnt to me when reading it loon lol)

They put down all sorts of conditions - I had to have bouncers, contact numbers for taxis, the room sealed off from any view to outsiders, a guest list (enforced by bouncers), hotels etc etc. Did you have this bother?
Again, good luck!
Simon

yep, sounds like the Moderators doing a fine job of ensuring that the Munch rules are adhered to to me
see here, it hasnt changed : http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/terminology/munch.html wink
as for being in an ideal position to organise a Munch - this bit kinda shoots yourself in the foot I'm afraid :
... and interestingly enough, 1 of those was a moderator from the site who I believe went on to cop off with the couple who turned up.

SH is a swingers site, people do 'cop off' with each other (even the Mods! lol) after meeting each other socially , & as an organiser, you have an obligation over the safety & discretion of those who attend - blabbing about something that allegedlyhappened is a big no-no & illustrates exactly why you were not the ideal person to organise such an event, in my oppinion.
:rose: Brilliant! well done Suffolk_cpl! (and Warmer) - there'll be no stopping you now wink
bloody nice pics too sillywoar:
thanks

i guess i started the social/munch thingy when it was already large and regular so never had the 'specialness' you are talking about, and not really sure i'd want it, it sounds a bit selective to me. .....

and yet, like me and others in the thread so far, you now say you need to be picky over which ones to attend ......which takes us back to the 'selectiveness' thing dunno
(i have a thing for circles, bear with me lol)
Dawnie wrote:
I pick the ones we go to by date, whatever we have on in that month and who else is on the guest list, be it people we have not met, or friends we want to see again.

I agree  date & guestlist are the deciding factors for me, that, and who's organising it.
Northwest_cpl wrote:
While every one who joins the forums is exhorted to 'get yourself known and go to a munch' it would require very large venues to accomodate all who wanted to go if the number of munches and socials was restricted.

Maybe there's another question in that then? while 'we' encourage people to 'get themselves known'.....as a newbie, does it matter which 'doo' you get to, or not, as long as you get to one dunno

I think with the member numbers as high as they are now it is only a factor of demand out stripping supply that there are so many functions advertised...
I do miss the old days when numbers were smaller and functions were fewer as to me it made attending one even more special(to me anyway)...
But its a sign of the times and some may call it progress so I suppose its something we're stuck with..

I agree, especially with the sentiment over the specialness - but I guess folk (myself included) could bring that back simply by limiting the number of these things we attend and having a certain 'pickiness' over which one's we go to dunno
would guestlists still be full? probably ...... but aquired venues also seem to be getting bigger! 250 people, 300 people, entire fields lol ..... so does that balance out, or are we simply filling places for the sake of it?
I typed this out earlier having been stewing on it for a while, but it got a little deep when really all I want to do is pose a question & perhaps open a discussion.....
so, I've edited and you can have the short version lol
Thinking back over the months, and many of you over the years, about the 'specialness' of getting together with others & the time gap between social gatherings ....the 'making a weekend of it' and Munch fever on a several week build-up ... to looking over in LMU right now and the ability to attend somethingalmost every weekend let alone Munches on a monthly if not fortnightly basis (and more if you use more than this site) and taking into consideration both the time & financial costs (travel, hotel, spends, meal if it involves one, outfits, babysitters etc)... is it getting a bit much? dunno
Anyone can organise one, there's been a rule modification, we have inter-site socials and chatroom-only socials on top of Munches, Socials and Parties. There's alot of Xmas/ New Year get-togethers too right now. .......what I wanted to ask is your oppinions on whether the ploriforation of advertised 'doos' (bearing in mind there are also those organised behind the scenes and not advertised - as happened recently) is a good thing (taking into account the sheer number of people who potentially may want to get involved in the social side of all this)? or, are Munches and Socials are becoming a victim of their own success ?
dunno

I was pleased to read that intelligent people chose to be vegetarians. It proves what I have said for years, 'I am smart.'
So ladies, not only do vegetarians taste sweeter, they also tend to be more intelligent.
Now all I need is a report that says vegetarians are better in bed.

A wise man does not turn down a meal. He knows it will sustain him and his next meal may be days away.
Meat or veg. Wise or stupid?
What use are teeth designed to to tear meat when confronted by the mighty rice grain?
Philosophy? Or Pea soup?

i'm having deja vu with the 'married women vs single women in bed' thing here lol

lol - its mine tomorrow...at lunchtime .......... its also my leaving doo... where I will get the honour of waving goodbye to 'clients' who have the kind of lives where stability and continuity of care is paramount....as our Chief Exec has managed to run the company into the fuckin ground and forced the closure of another department, with 1 redundancy, another quit and the 3rd moving over into my job because she joined on a permanant contract before I did mad rolleyes
The only person not affected by recent events is the chief exec's son, who nicely gets promotion tomorrow ......and we're all getting together, plus a few others who probably have an axe to grind too, for the annual Xmas party to 'celebrate' in .....oooooo, just under 12 hours time drinkies

Sercher, officially certified as a complete loon by Darkfire lol
lol aww bless ya Marie! You'll be organising something every month at this rate! lol
Its 10 months away yet & you havent been around here much at all for a while - give people a little time to get to know you (it works both ways, see ) & I'm sure you'll have a packed venue wink
maybe folk feel a bit funny cos its a wedding reception & not a member-exclusive SH social - guests usually tend to know the bride & groom well and be there to wish them health & happiness and all that, not turn up cos its any excuse for a piss-up lol dunno that, and you've already hinted at changing the date dunno
I'd like to come, but cant commit to a date that far in advance at the mo
If they're online, they show up in green in the list of names above.... you could send a pm by clciking the pm button at the bottom of one of their posts, or, if its super-urgent/importnat and you cant find a Mod, try Admin ( they show up in brown, or raise a help ticket fromthe Help list <<<<<<over there)
If its something you need general help/ advice or techie help with, just ask on the forum (whatever it is, don't name names in public) or, PM the mentors (in the 'are you new, do you need help' sticky ^^^^^^ up there

It's great how you quote that towards me but give no opinion on the tabloids themselves who printed the information or even the reason why i posted it. i for one think nobody should be publicly named unless they have at least been charged with the crime, i do hope they have caught/catch the person/s responsible.
I've now deleted the link as since im not certified on here im an open target to criticism and will not be judged for something the tabloids have done mad
rolleyes It wasnt a 'dig' at you - although I do think your posting of the link itself was unecessary - it was merely an expressed comment in response to yours becuase its not the first time today I've heard about his 'blog' & that paticular site , indeed it first came in an email from a mate at uni where 'that site' has a cult following and "everyone's" seen 'it' - alongside the facial pics of totally-unrelated-to-the-case people who will now be known by association to an alleged serial killer. The publishing of that blogpage spreads far wider than your post on here luv and it was thatwhich I was commenting on confused
But hey, I'm happy that you've spat your dummy and taken the decision to delete the link ... and while I'm at it, its got sod all to do with 'not being certified' and 'therefore open to criticism' ( the up-her-own-ass-bitch in me says think yourself lucky I responded to your post at all wink lol rotflmao that was a joke, btw, just incase you misread me again rolleyes)
