Sounds like you suffer from not getting enough REM sleep (Rapid eye movement)like me - the stage of sleep that you dream in. It is usually benficial as it "destresses" the mind. I suffer from Insomnia, but it's not as bas as it used to be.....it can be hit and miss, and even now I'm not 100% sure what makes me stay awake.....
