As far as I understand it, the two wpcs were responding to a panic alarm and were the first officers on the scene. I don't suppose it was known at the time of the initial response that firearms were going to be encountered. Probably the alarm was received by a Central Monitoring Centre which informed the police and nothing further was known, but it does appear that two relatively inexperienced officers were out on patrol together. I'm not going to comment on that.
By "resources available" if you mean a Tactical Firearms Unit then I suppose the response would have been handled entirely differently if enough information had been available at the time the alarm was raised to indicate that weapons might be present.

Yep, went out and bought the stewing steak, leeks, carrots,taties, onions, big stainless steel pot, etc., and, YES, I did put red wine and some garlic in too.
It was Kitty's idea as she thinks I shouldn't eat the chilli con carne and the Lasagne (that she made for me last weekend) all the time.
Now it's all bubbling away nicely and smelling yummy.
Who's coming to dinner with me tonight then?

What some people seem to have forgotten is that they have enjoyed themselves here in SH Towers completely for free and all thanks to Mark and Helen for making it possible in the first place.

Also, these guys have lives of their own, and it's the weekend, so give them a break, eh?
They've taken the time and trouble to try to reassure us all. Of course there are going to be changes, that's inevitable, but they've asked for ideas which they've clearly indicated they will listen to and consider. What more does anyone expect at this stage?
The Steam Room is there for people who want to let off steam and if anyone offers anymore rude and abusive comments then they can (rightly) be banned.
SH Towers is going to receive a makeover, like it or not, so let's accept the fact, be grateful for what's being offered, and carry on from where we left off.
