I am sat here giggling about this thread, whilst nursing a burnt finger!!! Cheese sauce is an evil thing!! and so is sweet making...lol

in my humble opinion... anyone who lays thier life on the line .. be it walking along a road on patrol, falling on an explosive device, patrolling the streets at pub kicking out time, rescuing people from the side of a mountain or from a blazing fire and loses that life is heroic in my eyes...

My 15 year old son has a facebook account, he often shows me links and things he has on there, I havent added him to my account as he would drive be boinkers with silly remarks!! - But I do keep an eye on what he has on there.. I have all his passwords and I dont go nosing into his business - but have the option should I need to.
My 13 year old hasnt got a facebook and isnt that bothered.. she spends evenings doing her homework and looking at celtic fc pics!! i am not sure where i got her from
And my youngest isnt that bothered by computers - apart from the dressing up games on a free game site!
I think is a case of discussing what is right and wrong to be doing online and hope that they listen n keep safe

Christmas to me is about spending time with my family, my mum has a terminal cancer so we are making sure ever day counts!! last year she was given 12 months and she is still here, so we are very busy making special family memories

I love my boinkers jack russell very much and love my rather daft brain damaged cat as well...
They are a strange pair who dont seem to realise that dogs n cats arnt supposed to get on!! As I type they are curled up together on the rug in front of the fire

My Dad kindly helped me to deice my car!! It was a sheet of ice!!! I couldnt get the doors open or anything!!
So he poured warm water around the door sill, he had already used about half a can of deicer on the windows...
I get in the car, get engine going... go to use wipers and they have frozen to the windscreen...
So I go to do the sensible thing and squirt the window again... I go to open the door... And its only gone and frozen again!! And the window wouldnt wind down either!
So I ended up beeping the hooter - and he finally appears.. he tried to open the door and it was stuck fast!! as I was running late for work he just cleared my screen and I set off.
20 mins later I arrived at work and thank goodness it had defrosted!! I had image of having to ring for help to get out!!! or having to climb out the window:-D
so how was your first day of winter

Well i have kind of squirralled away rather a lot of quilting fabrics over the last 10 years and am now selling it on ebay... and i am amazed at how much money i am making... and also amazed at the amount of money i have in my work cupboard:-D

There are 6 of us here, and I tend to do most of the cooking, my mum does help as well and I am slowly teaching the monsters to cook!!
There are now 2 meals the teens can cook themselves- spicey chicken wraps and a chicken, pesto and pasta dish.

I have just had 24 hours from hell for various reasons!!! :sad:
And today i was sent a huge bouquet of flowers with choccys and a teddy bear.. they made me cry again.. then grin loads...

Yes I believe you have done the right thing....
The wrong thing would have been to do nothing and then maybe 6 months / a year down the line you see him on tv news after commiting an horrific offence and then living for evermore with the guilt of not having spoken up...

My reason to be cheerful is that today I got scan results on my kidneys, and nothing sinister going on!! just loads of tiny kidney stones that will be easily sorted!!

nope... I did, and was a member of Church of Scotland... and I went to church a lot..

Well I was looking for a swing for my garden....
years later I still havent found the gardening department:angel:
ok.. truth is.. i was fairly fed up a couple of years after my husband left.. he had really left my confidence at an all time low.. a friend was a member on here and she showed me the site and i decided to join... i found the chat rooms and have made some amazing and wonderful friends.. and i have also learnt by being a member on here what a liar my ex was!! and that people do like big girls!!!!

I am still missing the nawty emoticon for mood ( bit thats just becauase i have a thing about handcuffs
and one other thing... i am always very careful that my monsters dont see what sites i am logged onto... and the old home page was kinda discrete... the new one isnt if anyone with 'bits' on show!!
means i have to make sure i have a 2nd page open just incase!!
