And no, it's not about the sprouts or the pressies under the tree. It's about the home-made cards to friends and family and threading popcorn on a string, home-made decorations and milk and cookies on a tray,with the highlight being the sack Santa leaves at the end of the bed filled to the brim with sweeties and treats and toys from the pound shop. That's the Christmas spirit in our home. The pressies under the tree usually contain money for them to spend in the January sales.
And yes, that good will is spread throughout the year, we call it *love money*.
I was brought up as an *under-priviledge* child and Christmas would not have been Christmas without the generosity of strangers. So when Christmas comes round each year I know it's my turn to make a difference now.
