I suppose its a terribly attention seeking thread to put up on here - but SH is 99.9% attention attention seeking anyway - We're,in the words of Barbara Strident - "People who need people"
And what fine people you are.
Thanks to all who have posted - some new to me or folks who I hadn't crossed paths with until now - and some of you are among my mainstays,you have been there for me in my most wobbly moments and some of you who have made a sometimes melancholic,contemplative old biddy feel young,fresh,sexy and alive again.(Oh dear - that third one there does worry me - It could lead me to do certain things surprised

And laugh and laugh and laugh - but - to be honest I cried again too tonight - I am a soppy get,I know I know!
I was moved to those tears by a PM from a robust saucy poster ON site - who comes over as fragile as a flower in private - no - nobody on this thread ,its not for a guessing to say that loneliness and shyness and all kinds of other related conditions are present among us,behind the most unlikely of fronts.
We are seeing each other through something profound - and profoundly,beautifully absurd three letter word,the four letter word,the force that really does make our crazy bittersweet world spin around..

Of course KINKY SWINGERS PUB The Dog and Duck is famous for being the pub where Madonna ordered a pint of Timothy Taylors landlord's bitter.
When I went it was full of earnest fellows in berets,turtleneck sweaters and corderoy jackets stroking their goatee beards.
Why?
It was a "Jazz Club" moment - they were having a quick pint of TTLB before they headed off for Ronnie Scotts club just up the road.

What extraordinary posts on this thread today - not least Misschief's which has to be one of the most moving accounts I've ever read on to read and re-read - painfully truthful.
MQ tells us so well about her new life since her unhappier times and Musketeer shows us a male view of this most difficult topic,where you still care about someone deeply but neithers emotional and sexual needs are being fulfilled.I know exactly what that is like,I know how painful the compromise is - and the fallout when it can't drag on how you find me here among you - I am still trying to find my seems a good place to be to connect with whats been so denied.

Teppic - I STILL get upset over the dog I had that died when I was a kid. Were it still alive it would be the oldest dog in the World,it would be in its early forties!!
Yet still I lament over that little scraggy black thing,stil feel sad when I see a photo its on.
They are wonderful companions,its sad when they go - so don't you feel bad about being down on here over it - and as you see other people totally understand.

Don't lose hope Clyde - you might be able to work it out so.
If anyone here is troubled in some way and needs to share it they will find many who can relate to them,maybe some who can even offer genuine help,more than words alone even.
The reason why some here have such passion and joy in how they live is because they've known loss and pain before but now want to embrace life again.
Whatever way this goes there is a future,nobdy says it will be easy but there is a future,honestly.

Well at first I wasn't gonna tell you - at 69 I looked to have about the lowest score of any of you but then I saw JGL was 68,Red Stilletto and Dawn_Mids were 69 - in such horntastic company I don't feel so bad - SO - the 69's are on me! rolleyes

Its a Winston Churchill moment this - a chance to address the nation - not!
I used to see people that had done thousands of posts on forums and I'd think how on Earth did they do that?- WHY on Earth did they do that?
Welll,thanks to you here I now know how and why.
Its especially been the last 7 weeks that have turned it all around for me.
I've never known an experience like it,its..different thats for I'd take with me if I ever left,never to be forgot,ever.
I have had moments where I have almost left - not as a flounce but because,as in all life,you can have great breakthroughs,but,also,big setbacks.
You can be dancing with someone one moment and blink and find yourself dancing alone again.
The times I've sat in this room at this PC and LAUGHED - We do have ourselves a lotta fun on here.
I've cried twice.
But laughed a million.
I want to thank my PMers - you know who you 've shared your joys and your tears with me and some of you have lifted me so many are the best.
I am 1000er 49.
I predict Love Commando or Corriefem will be 1000er 50.I'd have liked 50 but they haven't posted much this weekend.I couldn't wait any longer!
