Many variants of this , but this is my favourite
Rum Punch
Shot of Black Seal Rum
Shot of Bicardi Gold Rum
Shot of Cockspur Rum
Grenadine (ounce or so)
Falernum (shot)
Orange juice
Pineapple juice
Lots of ice in tall glass
Mix all together and be transported to heaven (or hell after about 6 of the buggers)

Beetroot sandwiches take me back to being sat on the beach when we were kids, eating them combined with sand, and drinking warm orange

AAAAAARRRGGHHHHH !!!!!!! Beeroot. The work of the devil!!
Sarge;
What the bloody hell is 'beeroot'?
I think we have a right to know.
Keep frisking

I suppose if the words were moved around slightly to
Fat Cat bastard.
Then a £15 m payoff for fucking your job up would be appropriate.

My first read of this and I thought that it was a request for a lady to entertain 23 blokes.

One must admit to being suprised about how many single guys just get it wrong - in even the simplest things.
Surely, many of then must have been under the influence of vast amounts of alcohol/drugs or whatever when they post. Would it be worth doing a study as to what time they post the ads.
I must stop drinking wine before I type lol

I have to ask (before I go and watch the cricket). What qualifications do you have for this continual frisking of new members?
Paul

Paul
This is one of the duties I perform as Head of Security (Northern Division). This is not a task I enjoy, but someone has to do it.
confused  lol lol lol
Remember: loose lips sink ships!!!
Sarge;
Thanks for the explanation. I admire your dedication. If only more people would show the same 'spunk' as you. (note - I use the word 'spunk' in its American form - as you are American)
Probably should not have used the word 'members' in my post either. redface

I await your response with some trepidation

Shit, should I be in the forgetful thread?
Paul

Of course not, Paul! I know that being a man you have far more important things to think about which is why you chaps rely on ladies like me to action your desires, wants and needs. Ask Will! wink
Sappho xxx
Bloody great ain't it. Will gets everything done for him.

Very well put Sappho..
Music is very much individual taste and for someone to rubbish another persons taste, in an offensive manner, is really not on.
I will admit here that I love Gregorian Chant (now that should provoke some derision)
lol
Paul
Not at all Paul...
I love Gregorian chant, esp playing in the background when no one else about.....
Also Hildergard of Bingen.... feather on the breath of God.... delicious.....
and in a similar manner,
Les Voix de les bulgares........just puts the hairs up on the back of my neck..... exquisite voices....
oooh I feel all un necessary.... I suspect I may have to put Steve Wright to one side for a while...
Gmanxxx
Gman;
I had some chant playing a couple of years back (whilst I did my ironing - very soothing - the chant not the ironing) when my son said " What's that rubbish". " Monks mate" came my quick reply.
" Don't they have anything better to do" was his retort.
I will of course show him Sappho's post re the topic

Hi Jodie and welcome to SH!
You don't happen to work for a certain women's magazine do you, aimed at the 18-25 age range?
Forgive my scepticism, but your opening post is asking a great deal of people who do not know you from Eve. It is more normal, not least polite, to introduce yourself and let us get to know you before asking for indepth experiences.
If I am wrong, then I wholeheartedly apologise, but I am sure you will understand reticence, if not suspicion, on the part of regulars here after recent media events.
Enjoy your swinging party, and your time in the forum.
Sappho

Sappho;
I am far too slow in my dotage. Read the ladies post and thought just like you. Thought I must post a response. Then mooched around for a while and forgot - until I went back, for no apparent reason, and read your response.
Shit, should I be in the forgetful thread?

Got dressed for work this morning, crisp white shirt, silk tie, slacks, casual but smart. Shiny black Clarkes shoes.
And a lovely pair of white sports socks! rolleyes

I know what you mean about the Clarkes shoes lol
All time fave has to be Black Adder (agree with Mr Writer that the last epsiode of Goes Forth just as they prepare to go over the top - is one of the finest bits of Television ever)
I really could not get into the first series - a bit too slapstick. But when Ben Elton joined Richard Curtis for the second series onwards it really became classic comedy - but with such acerbic wit.
One that also srings to mind is On the Hour (the spoof news prog). It started out on Radio 4 as The Day Today (or that could be round the wrong way)

Hmmm .. always so difficult
1. Picking up my 14 yr old son on a Friday. We chat about his week at school, life in general, history (he now loves the topic) and science. Stopping at the fish and chip shop - it's a Friday ritual. Of course I get bugger all out of him for the rest of the weekend as his mates invade the house lol
2. Sitting on Front Street in Hamilton, Bermuda. Just watching the world go by and drinking a large coffee.
3. Taking my son to Highbury (the home of Arsenal) for his first game. The atmosphere and noise was incredible - and when Bergkamp comes out for the warm up - the whole crowd bows to him.
There are so many more
Paul
Welcome.. Enjoy and have fun.
Curious about the name. You would not be in It would you?
Paul
Picking just one is too hard.
Mike and the Mechanics & Big Country (love driving to their music)
Genesis (with and without Gabriel)
Yes (Andersons voice is incredible)
Jean Michel Jarre (live concert at Docklands and he's joined on stage by Hank Marvin)
Joe Cocker (nuff said)
Chris Rea (just a master of his art)
Sadly, I can think of nothing from todays bands - Coldplay leave me cold

One I do from time to time, and I have been driving since 1978, is to get in the car, and for a few seconds i think...which one is the clutch....it makes me laugh anyhow!

I'm more like.. get in the car and wonder where I am going.
Write a comprehensive shopping list and don't take it with me
I'll stop coz I can't remember what I am trying to remember
Paul
Whilst I only know you from your posts in the forum .. Please take my heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery...
Paul
Are you in fact DJ Spoony - who presents on Radio Five Live.
Please come clean lol
Paul
My fave meal (Beef Wellington) would not be good if an evening of 'pleasure' was envisaged. So, an alternative;
Starter should be simple... Just stuffed mushrooms and a small salad of rocket and spinach. Add a vinagerette dressing and if needed a Creme Fraiche (wrong spelling), honey and chilli mix as a dip (dip can also be used with main course)
Main: Simple again: Monkfish tails. Just in the oven; wrapped in foil. Add herbs of your choice, lemon, sliced mushrooms and butter and virgin olive oil. Just bake for xx (depends on size of tails ). Serve with veg and really good crusty bread.
Pud: I don't do puds - so will have to be cheese and fruit
Paul
Great thread Sarge (as usual)
1. Time. As a kid I'm sure that we had lots of time to go out - play football every evening, come home for dinner and even do our homework. My son goes to a great school but even I am appallled at times by the amount of homework he has to do. Mind you he gets a sound beating if he does not do it (joke)
2. The ability to go out for the day and not have your parents worrying all the time.
3. The loss of the ability to write in Fu**ing English. Sadly, I feel that text speak and e-mail speak will destroy written and indeed spoken word.
4. Sport in general. Too many computer games seem to be more important than taking part in sporting activities. This is so sad.
That will do
Paul
Cringing and leg crossing taking place
Just made me think of the instance when I trapped my foreskin in my trouser zip. :embarrased: #
