Well, we could mention Nelson Mandela, look at the outpouring of concern when he was hospitalised. How about our Queen, not elected I grant you, but still held in very high regard by millions of people.
Going back in history, you have Gandi in India and Ataturk in Turkey during WW1, there will be plenty more, just a matter of looking at history.

The Gov. has carefully calculated how to make it appear that the economy is on the up, it will continue to improve right until the next election, May 2015, letting the Tory Party claim to have handled the economy well. If they get elected again (hopefully not) then they will clamp back down on wages rises etc.

It would be interesting if, on the day of the Scottish Independent Referendum, those of us in the North (Lancs, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland) were given a vote to either stay part of England or join with an Independent Scotland should that come about.
Don't know if the Scots would want us tho, so maybe we could become part of Holland, that's not far from us, or Denmark perhaps.
I'd propose Blue as the Diplomatic Ambassador to whichever State was lucky enough to get us tho.

I agree with you. Physical, in your face, real people bullying can be in-escapable. But for someone to try and bully me when they may be hundreds of miles away and don't know anything about me ? Laughable !! As you say either block them or if it's really upsetting, leave the site.
Actually, heard a good one on the radio the other day, some guy was being abused on Twitter, what he did was correct the spelling and grammar and sent it back to the person who sent it.

Interesting debate, having just come back from Cap where we did some very interesting digging!! Many of the clubs in Cap run as a syndicate, with profits being merged with black market money. Local shops are charged 25% of turnover to just stay open, non payment is an issue of how much you value your kneecaps!! Couldn't believe the stories we heard, and many shops etc are up for sale to get out asap. The clubs act as the magnet for the tourist, and so believe they have a right to charge others for being the attraction.

There are now some very well established Clubs in the UK so why don't they spend some money to glam the places up a bit? Chameleons is about as good as it gets but really you only get music downstairs and the rooms are just basic un decorated rooms - poor if any decor, poor lighting and deadly silent.
So many Continental Clubs make the rooms sexy and inviting with piped music, pleated satin and led lights.
I wish someone would make a really classy club and focus on music, sensuality and ambience. I asked once in Chams and was tod it was a sex Club so what is the point.....
Easy way to find out Too Hot, open one yourself and see if it's a success ! Or try Xtasia which we think is as close to Glamour at Cap as you could get.
