You must both have SHrep active on your accounts.
They must be in your friends list (Vouch) or exchanged multiple mails (Site).
The system will then send you a Leave Rep notification.

Just spotted a new enhancement in chat
When you display a profile in Members list you can now
a) display the profile
b) whisper the profile
c) and now block the profile
On the new one , 'block' this work the same as blocking profiles in Mailbox ?
If you select it in error, how do you un-block ?
Settings > Chatroom > select 'blocked user' > Delete
Presumably it does a 'look up' against your friends list so that if you 'mis-place' a whisper request you can't end up blocking a friend in error ?
Useful feature anyway and long over due for the few annoying ones you come across

My personal preference is for Manfrotto

Would love one these. I got a cheap tripod from Jessops a few years back, was ok for the compact camera but I need to invest in a decent one for the DLSR sometime.
Try one of these. They are excellent and indestructible fitted with a laser level head it's the only one you'll need in a lifetime:-

Ouch! £319 without the head?!
Erm... maybe not quite as expensive as that (alas I've never met me a kinky sugar daddy yet! wink )
lol You've gotta get good head somewhere.....blast

There could be a number of reasons for this.
If you show on their IM, then it's not normally a problem with your settings. Although it does take a while for friends to appear in the IM listing as this requires SH to run an update file at their end.
Most likely is that their settings are not letting your ID show.
Default here should be:-
Settings > Privacy > Messenger > Show IM status friends > Save.

The one thing that's guaranteed to put off anyone visiting this forum is posters constantly banging on about how things ain't what they used to be and how the place is going downhill. Can we please change the record?

Well said Max

We went through the process of writing our wills a year ago. We were surprised at the actual complexity of writing it and ensuring it was legal / met our wishes.
Whist I knew that we had more 'assets' and would need to pay death duties, taking professional advice to minimise these was money well spent (I want it to go to family and friends - not the taxman!!).
Succession was also an issue we'd not thought through properly (eg I die you inherit, if you die, I inherit) fell apart on the what if you both die at the same time (eg car/plane crash etc), or what happens in the event that you leave your estate to the kids and one or more dies before you....
It's not just the practical division of your estate either. If you have an item that you wish to give to a relative/friend (example is a family ring that passes to the eldest daughter/son) this would not happen if your estate goes to the government who will liquidate everything to cash.....
Or if you have a wish that an amount goes to a charity - without a will in-place it be at the inheritors 'goodwill' that this will actually happen after your death...
Lastly, for those that buy 'quickie' wills at the post office etc - these are not legal unless you have registered it with the Probate Service but are purely treated as an 'expression of wish'.
Even those with a 'simple' life - single parent / single child inherit can have/leave problems if the total value of the estate exceeds the death duty limits - the inheritor may have to liquidate the estate to pay the tax bill....
Just some thoughts......

It is assumed the elder died first. So in most situations of say a married couple where the man is elder the man died first his will is executed leaving it all to the wife then her will is executed. Thats how it was explained to me anyway.
It will depend on how the assets are registered and the will is structured. We have property in joint and single names. As we are in our 2nd/3rd marriages any property in my name would pass to Mrs Gu. When she dies the estate would go to her offspring and would preclude any inheritance by my children from 1st & 2nd marriages unless they are specifically included in the terms of my will that they will inherit xyz on her death from the combined estate.

All sorted here. lol
Will's are done and lodged with the probate service. Last wishes recorded etc. etc..
We're ready to meet our maker.

Along the lines of what Karrob are saying, how about a room where those that go in have their whisper facility suspended so that the only place that you can chat is in the room. If you haven't contributed for 5-10 minutes then you are automatically kicked from the room and barred immediate re-entry for 10 minutes to allow time for others who want to chat to enter. If they want a pvt conversation then they can move to another room.
On top of this, lessons in speed reading as 100 people chatting in one go will make that screen move like hell lol
Dave_Notts

A refinement on this Dave..
Set a 'session time-out' for 30 minutes in all rooms for users who don't type, with an 'over-ride' if their cam is transmitting.
That should remove all the silent watchers and generate enough space in the busy rooms for those that do contribute to the chat and encourage 'chatters' to actually chat!!

just a cpl of suggestions that i would think would make the chat room better.
1: perhaps an location indication next to anyone in the chatroom.
would make it easy to see whos near you and whos far from you.
.

That would require everyone to have their Location Settings 'enabled' to allow the distance calculation. Some members for whatever reason, don't like to show their location. If this 'option' was removed, then members would start putting 'fake' locations in to retain their anonymity and the proposed suggestion would be useless....
If I posted anything here other than Mrs Gu - the site would be minus 1 member! lol
You get the same problem with Apple TV II's.
As they utilise Apple's home share via i-tunes it can circumvent the Windows Networking Share settings. By default the pictures pick up 'MY PICTURES' folder and allows access to any sub-directories in there.
When I switched over the other evening to watch a film on the Apple, we found the screen saver showing selections from the 'adult' folder - oooooppps
Obviously an episode for deep philosophical debate over a glass or two of homebrewed rocket fuel and a bag of pork scratchings.
Just what did the significance of replacing Reindeer with fish have within the context of Dickens Scrooge character? Or, indeed, the juxtaposition of ice-fog over snow????

Assuming you get it the right way up this time...
Place in a roasting tin, rub the breast with soft butter and sprinkle with salt (pref sea salt), layer top of the turkey with streaky bacon, place a couple of thick rings of onion on the top (to stop the foil sticking to the bird/bacon). Cover with foil and place in a pre-heated oven 180c @ 25 mins/lb + a further 25mins without the foil and onion rings.
Leave to rest for at least 1-1.5 hours to reabsorb the juices before carving.
Hey presto - perfect succulent Turkey
WARNING - They'll prob give you the job every year! lol

Bloody hell - what temperature is your house at? In my kitchen it would be stone cold by then - even under foil.
I would love to have a double oven - one just isn't enough when you are doing a roast at a lower temp and potatoes or Yorkshires at searingly hot.
It should still be 'warm' the trick is to cut thin and serve on warmed plates, the heat of the rest of the meal will soon bring it up to a comfortable eating level.

Hi,
Just a comment regarding the free trial...
We are a genuine couple, who through the free trial were able to sample the chatroom.
Having decided we liked it, we have now upgraded for a year.
We were abit unsure as to what the chatroom would actually contain and were wary of joining - the free trial was useful for us.
Whilst obviously this trial has attracted some timewasters/weirdos, surely it is still a good way of introducing genuine new members...
After all, surely no one would wish for the site to stagnate? Variety being the spice of life and all that!?!
Merry Christmas
xx

Hi Puddle's,
And welcome to the site, forum and chat folks - well posted, it's good to see some new faces.
If the 'free' chat access attracts more like you, then yes, it will have been a successful trial. However, the greater proportion of 'new' users seem to have taken it as an invitation to just cause trouble/offence in the rooms as they've not read the AUP or the Chat T&C's. :small-print:

Only 7 days ????
Can't be over soon enough after Friday and Saturday nights being spoilt by some freebie idiots  , and that even with an OP in the room.
Why of why couldn't the nerks be restricted to some of the general areas rather than running riot across multiple regular rooms, causing upset and mayhem

A bit of 'View Only' access might have been a better option. wink

there needs to be a way in the chatroom system that people can report chat issues in realtime and ops can see it regardless of the room they are in, ie a list of all online chatops and you can quick whisper to them

You can always go to the Forum Home Page - at the bottom there's a list of the ops online highlighted in Purple & IM or Msg they're usually pretty quick to answer.
Is that if they are online anywhere on the site or just if they are in the forum?
Ii might be wrong - but if they're logged on.

Absolutely couldn't agree more - it's been anarchy in most rooms with this influx of complete idiots and the removal of the 'whisper' rule has just made it worse.
Our chat screen is nearly every other line an incoming 'whisper' request now from these knobheads. We can't see the wood for the trees....

Very strange, could you try clearing your browser cache / temporarily files for me and then try again.
Thanks,
Elliot

Hi Elliot,
Cleared the cache, deleted all the temp files, shut down and restarted IE, cleared the cache again, logged on to the site and still getting the same 'blank' logon to the chatroom.
