Just to say a big "Thank You" to Try2, Johntina and anyone else who was involved in organising last night's Coventry Social. It was another great event and I had a really good time so thanks to the organisers and to all the lovely people who attended and helped make my night a great one.

I had a good time and really enjoyed it. Thanks to Easycome for all the organisation, and to Minxie for the disco which was very good, and to all the other participants who helped to make my night a good one. Its a shame that the numbers were fewer than expected but the weather was really horrendous so I don't think that helped.

I am on the list for this social and I have now received details of the venue etc. It is the function room of an ordinary pub, and there is a DJ booked. On the one hand I do agree in principle that pricing should be the same for single guys and single girls, but in this case there are only TWO single females on the attendee list, so it isn’t going to make any real difference overall but just maybe the free entry will attract a few extra ladies. There are around 80 people listed to attend, of which perhaps around 55 – 60 will turn up on the night – say £240 taken on the door. Now I don’t know how much the venue cost to book, nor the charges for a good DJ, but it doesn’t look to me as though anyone is going to make any massive profits out of us.

It was a very good social and a big "thank you" to all who organised and attended. As Minx said the music was good, but rather on the loud side -- not being able to hear what people are saying to you rather defeats the object of a social -- but nontheless I really enjoyed myself. Thank you.

This relatively new social group has been identified for the first time on tonight's One Show.
Not at all new Foxylady ---- Mary Whitehouse had it all sewn up in 1964 when she launched the National Viewers' and Listeners' Association (NVLA), which was renamed Mediawatch-UK in 2001.
Basically, if the vicar couldn't have read it from the pulpit on a sunday, she would complain about it !!!

It looks like now you aren't even allowed to look after your own kids without a CRB check -- Watford council have banned all parents who do not carry a CRB certificate with them from entering the council's play areas to look after their own children !!!

If I read the changes correctly, this will not just apply to motorists but to all cases that come before a magistrate. True, motorists will be most heavily hit but the law will actually apply to anyone who is taken before a magistrate for ANY alleged crime and subsequently found to be innocent. I'm just surprised they haven't gone the whole hog and demanded payment for the time wasted by the police and CPS in (wrongfully) bringing the case !!!!

Standard/free members can read the messages you send them, unlike a lot of sites where you need to upgrade even to read messages sent to you. However the site software automatically strips out anything that looks remotely like a web address, an e-mail address or a phone number, so you can't send pictures either. Its down to you to persuade that person its worth joining up ( just 15 quid for a month ) so that they can reply to your steamy messages !!!

As a 62 year old who has been on this site a few years I can tell you that there are ladies out there who appreciate us more mature guys. Since joining the site I have enjoyed the company of ladies aged from 26 to 62, so age isn't a total barrier. What we have lost in stamina we more than compensate for with patience and experience.
My advice - as to all single men on here -- is to craft your profile and ads with care, emphasising all your good points and other pertinent information such as whether you can accomodate, travel (and what distance you will go), what age range you are comfortable with, and anything else relevant. Post a few more pictures if you can, in various situations ( and have a few pics of your bits in your private gallery for those ladies who like to look at them)
Post in the forums so your name is recognised, use the chatrooms, and get out to the socials whenever you can. Lots of luck, and hang in there ..

I'm entirely happy to receive winks from sexy ladies even if they are "free" members. I will then write back and try to persuade them to fork out a month's £15 membership so they can communicate properly. I do have to admit thought that this has only happened once in the three years I've been here, but winks are very welcome ladies - bring them on !!!!
