My opinion, for what it's worth... if you're going to meet anyone on spec, be they singles, couples, male, female, whatever, you have to either be telepathic and a perfect judge of character or take your chances that the people you meet will be compatible. If someone won't meet you socially for drinks and a chat, I don't think that's worth losing any sleep over and there's certainly no point getting angry about it... just tell them you prefer to do it your way and move on.
Some people want a shag and nothing else and they want it right now, others prefer to get to know you first... gender and marital status are not a factor, this applies to single women and couples too. Why waste your time having a pop at people whose modus operandi doesn't suit you? They are perfectly entitled to want to do things their way just as you are entitled to your preferred way of doing things. I think your time would be better spent cultivating friendships with people who are compatible rather than getting upset about people who are not.
