Also check out the Two Fat Ladies recipe for pastry whirls with Gentleman's Relish - not tried it but it sounds simple and delicious.

:eeek:
Ok, with 2x 40th, 1x 21st and 1x 18th birthdays in the house this year we've got a grand party to celebrate them all in one go. Venue sorted, disco is booked, bar sorted, so now we turn our attention to that stalwart of family parties - The savoury finger buffet.
So here's the deal. Suggest one savoury item (or cute little 3 cornered sandwich filling) to grace the table assuming around 120 guests aged 8-80. Jewls a dab hand at baking so home made is fine as long as it's not too elaborate. Cocktail sausages on sticks and sausage rolls are a gimme and vol-au-vents are banned.
I shall set the ball in motion with cubes of strong cheddar with silverskin pickled onions on cocktail sticks.

I assist in puttin em on and making sure they end up filled even make sure they are available so why should I be concerned as to how he disposes of it, unless it ends up in my hand bag in which case I don't think we would be meeting again.

Because you assisted in putting it on, made sure they filled it up and supplied them maybe?

As a woman I don't really see it as my responsibility to worry about such things

Why not? You used it as well.
Jewl's definatly a lefty. That explains why none of the scissors in this house are capable of cutting when I use them.

There has been so little activity in "Current Affiars" this weekend dunno

Every cloud has a silver lining wink
Not the brightest it seems. Perhaps someone should pay his mum a visit while he's out.

And why should I have to pay back any benefit I receive when those who rent dont ?

Because you gain financially by receiving the benefit to pay your mortgage.
Ahhh I see now....
Your in favour of 2 sets of standards....
Pay rent to those who dont/cant/wont buy and give nothing to those who try to better themselves and but their own property....
Thanks.....I see now
Not at all. I'm saying no individual should profit from any benefit they recieve. I fail to see how choosing to be a tennant makes someone inferior to someone who owns property.

Because all landlords are greedy rolleyes
I suppose the question to you should be whether you would be prepared to sacrifice a stake in the property you own which you could either a) buy back from the government when you aren't suffering such hard times or b) pay back any benefit given in relation to the property + a proportion of any profit realised should you sell the property.

Why is that? Why is some one who is renting, entitled to more than some one who is in the same trouble, but owns their home? That seems mad to me dunno

Probably because in the long run the home owner the tax payer bails out could potentially profit from the sale of the property they own, whereas the tennant is merely paying rent to put a roof over their head.
And lining a greedy landlords pocket rolleyes

Yeah but gardens just look pretty. Think about 'bottoming' out grazing ground and you'll see how productive cutting grass short can be.
For us it's a combination of time and cost.
We both work weekends so it takes a fair bit of juggling to make sure we're both free and then it's at least and hours drive to all the socials/munches we see advertised. By the time you cost up fuel, hotel, new frock*, new shoes*, new undies* (*I know these aren't necessary, but you try telling Jewl that), it isn't cheap .
Two things guaranteed to make me giggle are fanny farts and the car steaming up on the outside.
Lady 1: Is she sucking his toe?
Lady 2: That's nothing......He brought her off with his foot a minute ago.
Lady 1: A foot.....I'd be happy with 8 inches!

Can anyone answer the question as to why someone is allowed to bring an automatic weapon into a family house in a residential area?

They aren't.

Its funny how very few people have comments on this in the forum, yet moan about it all the time in the chatrooms lol

Probably because very few of the chat users use the forum, assuming they even know it exists.

Certainly my profile gets checked out a lot by guys who are registered as couples or straight males dunno
Will

Maybe it's because your profile is a couples profile.

Fun, but very sticky.
