Sex is a very personal thing and if you meet someone and it doesn't work for you it is sometimes hard to say to someone, "I really appreciate you meeting me and playing with me but it didn't really do it for me", without sounding rude and dismissive. It is a particularly British thing I think. How often do we ask someone how they are and they almost always reply 'fine' even though they may be far from fine?
That is why I tend to meet older women and couples on here, as often with maturity comes the ability to deal honestly with someone without hurting their feelings.
I also like to get to know people before we actually meet. In fact this is one of the really enjoyable parts of swinging. The meeting and getting to know new people. I know you can't always guarantee what someone will be like in 'real life' but you can go a lot of the way towards it.
And as someone else said, would you really want to meet someone again who basically ignores you after they have fucked you?
Having said that the last five or six people I have met on here have been absolutely lovely in every respect (they know who they are smile

) and some of them I can see being friends for life.

Trying to be helpful here, not have a go. Do you know how many messages the average fem gets on here in a week? Millions! Most don't bother looking at people's ads. And most messages are linked to profiles containing photos.
They don't have the time or the inclination to bother with profiles that say little or nothing and contain no pics. I'm sorry but I'm afraid no-one is going to send you a pic out of the blue. It is your pic that should generate their pic. The lovely women on here have the upper hand as they are greatly outnumbered by single males. They can afford to pick and choose, not you!
There is plenty of action to be had on here with loads of lovely genuine people, but you must make an effort. And if you do make an effort the rewards are plenty. Take a look at my profile and maybe think about re-doing yours. Ask yourself what you can give to the fems and couples on here. not what they can do for you.
And finally if you are a married/attached bloke looking for a quick shag you are totally underestimating how smart the lovely ladies of SH are. Lines like "Your pic will generate my pic" do not sit well with "sorting out a pic for my ad" Either you have a pic or you don't.

Yes this site represents the same broad spectrum of people as society in general.

Katie and Yerbouti have both alluded to the part that a 'female presence' has in these situations. It seems to be a recurring theme with a lot of bi-curious males that they will only 'do it' if there is a female involved.
I know a few women who have had 'straight' lovers who have admitted to bi leanings and when told that she had bi friends who would be interested in 'helping them out' in all cases they said they would, but ONLY if the woman was involved. In all these cases the 'play' followed the same pattern where the 'bi-curious male would play with and sometimes fuck the woman before engaging in oral with the bi bloke. Almost as if they are asserting their 'straightness' in front of the female of the species before putting into practice their bi fantasies.
Of course another, more simple explanation, is that a previously straight man would be used to sex in female company and would be more comfortable with that, than a one-to-one with another male.
And Tina's point about bi men 'hiding' their bi tendancies is interesting. Most women I know who don't 'do' bi men are pretty much evenly split between those who don't like the idea of male same sex relationships and those who think it presents a health risk to them, ie. 'I'm not sucking that. I don't know where it's been!'
And Katie's theory about 'any mouth in a storm' is an interesting one too. As far as the sex is concerned, yes if a guy has his eyes shut, does it feel just as good as a woman's mouth? And if he opens his eyes and sees a man sucking when does it stop feeling nice and becomes something 'disgusting' It would be interesting to hear from any men on here who have experienced finding a man's mouth on the end of their cock when they thought it was a woman and how they reacted to it.
