assuming that i advertised as a single guy, I wouldn't be in the least surprised if a young 20 something female turned me down, in favour of a guy nearer her own age. OK not a hard and fast rule, and maybe some young girls would be happy to meet with someone my age, but not all.
At the same time, when we advertise, we are not interested in guys in their 20's.......... we feel (and know from experience) that we wouldn't have much in common, and we are looking for friendship as well as swing partners.
Sorry, it may not be PC, but it is a fact of life for us.

If the clocks didn't change, it wouldn't get dark till 5 ish, but at the same time it wouldn't get fully light till getting on for 9 in the morning.
And ffs as freckledbird said don't go on about winter..... it's still summer for the best part of another 3 weeks, I'm sitting here writing this at am with the patio doors open, and I can here the crickets (ok maybe grasshoppers) outside, and besides in the winter I don't earn so much money and I get grumpy
