I'm a bit perplexed about the distinction you made between straight males and not so.
I hope it's not a remainder of that weird notion that wants HIV to be the "gay disease"..
as far as I know, HIV is on the rise in several european countries too, due to a new surge of unprotected sex, as opposed to a few decades of condom-frenzy.
I might be wrong though.
anyway, there are enough STDs around for me not to want to risk them. I'll only ever have bareback sex (as much as I do prefer it to wearing a condom) with girls who I believe to be considerate enough to be selective in their search for bedtime partners.
also, for me, the consideration a girl met online might be lying about being on the pill is a scary one, even more scary in fact than the risk of contracting say, gonhorrea.
the last thing I want from any meets "arranged online" is to be asked to perform a DNA test and pay maintenance for the rest of my life for an unplanned and unwanted child.
I still think it should be possible to opt out of the tagging system... simply by adding a "non tagged" or "non specified" voice next to the various gay-closeup-faceshot-explicit...etc etc.
that way whoever doesn't feel like being labelled can still select the "neutral/generic" tag.
the reason for this is to avoid other members from tagging a pic in an inappropriate/spiteful way.
those pics would end up in a search by pic simply in the generic category instead of say, "bondage". alternatively they could be excluded from the searches but still be visible to those who bump into the specific profile (say by finding the user in the chat).
I0d say that depends on circumstances...if one of the two (or both) has made the effort of driving a long distance, it seems appropriate to me to at least have a polite chat and a drink..in the end it's not always about shagging...for me.. .quality time is worth meeting someone even if it's not leading to the bedroom.
but yes..better to be upfront, on average.
to be honest, martin it does look a bit like you're taking the piss, by selecting what posts to answer to and what posts to ignore.
a very simple mail into each of our PM box would have solved the matter had you done this BEFORE enforcing the tagging system on us.
a simple flag to let US decide wheter to leave our pics in public, and in that case wheter to allow people to tag them or not would have been possible.
I've been quite active here in the last couple of weeks...can't say I've noticed many of your attempts to inform us about what was about to happen.
of course it might have happened before
why was nothing of the above done? these things have been asked repeatedly and you have carefully avoided answering them
I do resent the somewhat patronizing tone...but maybe I'm just a bit thinskinned tonight.
just out of curiosity, when you talk about a million members, are you taking into consideration also those profiles that haven't been around in the last six months or more? because I myself have had a profile here for quite some time but only just started using it...
trouble is..."who is doing the labelling?"
I'm not particularily bothered about the whole thing, but it seems to me the admins should have anticipated such innovation, giving an announcement of some sort... or even polling for the opinion of the members.
as it is, the plan, however good the intentions, seems to have backfired (also severely hampering my chances to perve :taz: )
may I suggest that you give the members the chance to chose (a simple flag-unflag system should do) whether to let people rate their pics or not?
I am not surprised he got booted from his party. it was a bad stunt if ever I saw one. in the realm of political awareness these thins don't get overlooked.
I'm also happy he didn't lose his job altogether..no man should get fired for his opinions, however ill advised they might be.
I guess relegating him to a desk away from contact with the public serves him right for abusing his position as postmaster and turning it into a personal spotlight.
I immagine it's the sensible thing to do.
(can't help but feel that had he been an umphteenth generation white englishman he might have ended up going rounds with a bag full of mail attached to his bike...glad he didn't get that either, or he might have ended up playing the martyr tune)
heu...I'm not getting nr 7... :confused2:
me.."mum, it's me"
"hi xxx"
"hi, I called to ask you if you remember the name of that writer, the one that..."
"that was yyy"
"oh, thanks"
how the f... did she know what writer I was about to give her whatever details I had, since I didn't get to give her any?
no, we hadn't mentioned the writer in question in at least a couple of years
there are very different "kind" of presidencies.. with varying degrees of power, to name a few examples, the USA president who yields enourmous executive power, the french one who has less but is still strongly leading the direction in which the country moves, and the italian one, who's there merely as a representative of the state (he's actually elected by the parliament and not the citizens), and has the sole function of defending the constitution.
changing from monarchy to presidency is something that is either done by revolution or by painstakingly slow process of modification of the law on virtually every major topic.
I have the idea that the mp's right now have bigger and more pressing matters on their plate..and little time to spend changing the resident of buckingham palace.
I'm knackered... have been driving most of today and will have a heavy workload the next 4 days. I'd like a nice cuddle here on the bed, with a goodlooking woman..and a cfonsiderable ammount of groping and snogging. sadly I share the hotelroom with my father.. so that's one thing that's not going to happen
undoing the bras of the girls in the row in front of ours was a bit of a hobby, in my class..
that is, untill one stood up in protest and slipped it out from under her t-shirt.
after that the game was pretty much up
I saw a documentary on him, that included most of his backstage and large chuncks of his private life..
apaprently he's racist and obnoxious in real life too..but without the laughs..which makes him despicable and sad to me.
wouldn't want him as a friend.
(and he's the wrong sex anyway..lol)
"look at them, dogging!"
"no dad, that's a car boot sale"
"still people getting fucked by strangers in a field...."
general shape..poise
as she gets closer, face, eyes boobs..depending on what "feature" is most distinctive of the girl.
"back" in italy, during high school, I spent a year doing voluntary "afterschool class" with children with learning difficulties (younger than me of course)
since I spoke a couple of languages, I always ended up saddled with the "recent arrivals"..children that came from all over the world and had been in Italy for maybe a year or two (trust me, speaking any number of european languages doesn't help when the kid is chinese..I suspect the supervisor was taking the piss). most of them hardly spoke any italian.
most of the migrant from deprived areas of the world don't come here as a family... they will send the "man of the house" or the eldest son ahead..and once he's established himself and made enough money for tickets, he'll send for them, whether they like moving or not.
in some cases the family will have prepared and tried to learn the new language before moving... but mostly the family that was left behind has a hard enough time putting 2 meals a day on the table, let alone learning a foreign language..if tuition is at all available. these people may then come over to start anew, but be completely umprepaired..except for that one member of the family who's been "here" for a while.
consider also that there are languages that have a complete set of different sounds, and the native users of these languages might find it very difficult to adapt to new, alien sounds to pronounce which they need to bend their mouth in ways that are totaly alien to them... in some cases it's like learning to walk on your hands, when you've walked on your feet your entire life and are mightily tempted to do so whenever you get the chance.
short of asking for their papers, which would be illegal, or knowing the clients individually (which would then have made it personal and wrong) the postmaster had no way of knowing why his customers didn't speak the language or for how long they had been around, if they had had a chance for tuition or not. and if he indeed had had the chance of knowing all of the above, it still wasn't his right to judge them for it. it's not for him to decide the policies that regulate the customer service of the royal mail.
as I said, a publicity stunt for a political activist with a personal agenda.
