Tweeky, you can get windows drivers so you can use the Eye as a (very good) pc webcam. It's a shame but on the slim ps3 you can't load a Linux OS anymore (my fat ps3 was running ubuntu but it's died 2 weeks ago). X360 can run linux but only certain versions, the hole in the firmware has been patched now and the way the hacker used to bypass the security isn' there anymore.
Have you play M.A.G. yet. I've dump MW2 for it. it's alot more team based and communication is the key to winning in this game compared to going 'lone wolf' in MW2.
SH chat needs adobe flash to work. There is no flash player for iphone at the moment. Only phones running windows mobile(yuck) have flash player.

I have even managed to open my curtains since being in the chat rooms and wave at people walking by my window.

You know, you wouldn't have got into all that trouble if you'd have done what we told you to do and use your HAND to wave at people.
The chat rooms are not that bad. But there's one bloke on the forum that must have low self esteam. Always going on about how good his job is or that he's drove someone else expensive car or where he's been or who he's slept with.
Funny that cause he seems to be the only one that feels the need to bragg about his life...........
HAHAHA, the amazing 'hacker'. you know how he hacked NASA?, all the was doing was pinging random IP addresses looking for any PC with a password of 'Administrator' and a blank password. (you can download apps to do this for you) then he used remote desktop to log onto any PC he found with that stupid setup.
Nasa security = pitifull.
Gary Mkinnon = not exactly super hacker.
You may want to check the PS1's. if they have stereo audio out (red and white phonos) they are VERY sort after by HiFi geeks as CD players because sony dumped aload of high end digital audio chips in them. Stuff you couldn't get in sub £2000 equipment at the time of release of the PS1. And not really bettered to this day.
'Easy-Star All Stars'
They covered the whole of 'dark side of the moon' and 'ok computer' by Radiohead. In a Dub Reggae style.

oh joy, i've just found out they've covered 'sgt pepper' as well

How far are we the employees protected by the law? Not sure on this one but once in work we had a facilities manager who left with no notice at all. I was in a chain of emails with them at the time and I needed to know if they had had a response from another party. I asked the building manager about access to these emails and they told me that the message direct from the IT department was this "We cannot access this member of staffs emails. To do so would be breaking the law as an infringement of their privacy. The company could be sued if found out"
Maybe it all depends what you sign when you take employment but I would have thought the law was the law.

I work for a large public organisation and we've been told that they have access to anything in our 'inbox', but not anywhere else. confused
I only have work stuff go through my work email. Given what my employers have said it ain't worth the hassle. ;)
if the mail server you are using is microsoft exchange, all that an email admin has to do is create a new outlook profile on his PC and point it to your mailbox, he doesn't need your account password. Then he/she will see everything, inbox/sent items/personal folders etc.
<<<<IT systems admin, posting from work smile
The real Stig is (supposed to be) Ben Collins.
Shumi was there because Ferrari won't let anybody drive it to set a time on any course. only Shumi.
just to point out. the 4800 dpi you speak of is the resoulion of the scanner sensor. if you tried scan full 4800 a4 on one of those cheap office scanners it would take about 3 hours.
Most scanning bureau's are set up for high volume scanning and printing. The ones that do one off photo to digital are either VERY specialised or taking advantage of the fact that you don't know better.
So as meat2pleaseu say's. one ofthose cheap flatbed scanners will do the job well enough. just crank it up to max. You can touch it up with photoshop or gimp afterwards.

scanning does not give digital qualitly, may try it tho.
thanks xxx

I'd be intersted to know what you think 'digital quality' is?
Most digital cameras use some method of compression, so based on such factors such as chip size & quality, resolution, selected capture quality, light level and sensitivity etc you could end up with a pretty crap picture that is digital. Mobile phones have digital cameras, some of those are shite, remember those mini cameras you could get on a keyring? 300k digital resolution- total pants!
So unless you have access to a DSLR that can shoot RAW format images (and even that has the size, res, quality issue) 'Digial' don't mean diddly!
If you have a printed copy of the pictures then a 4800 dpi desktop scanner on full quality should do a solid job of making a digital copy of them.
If you have negatives but don't want to send them to be developed (which is wise, most developers have a damn good collection of duplications selected from their favourite snappy cam pics :mrgreensmile have a look on Ebay for a digital negative scanner, most go for about £50 but you can drop lucky!
Don't fall into the trap that digital is better, sometimes old school technology can knock it for 6 wink
4800 dpi. they cost like 100 grand. we have a colortrac A0 scanner at work that doesn't need to go above 600dpi for print quality, (maps, not text).
If you want to scan high dpi avoid jpg because it's not loss-less. got for 24bit tiff with lzw compression.
you get large files for anything bigger than an 8x10 but storage is cheap these days.
We don't have knobs any more because:
1. Over time the two contacts will ware away, you get dead spots and crackle just like back in the old days (do you want to do back to valves too?)
2. To stick an analog control on a digital circuit board is expensive if you want a wide range of control.
3. From a hardware programmers point of view it's much easier to just use + and - switches, each with it's own non-maskable interrupt rather than bother with a analog crontroller + A/D conver....blah....blah....CARROTS....blah...
You can return to being silly now
Well, i know that I can get a good 2nd hand mobile here for £30, I can send it to family in Jamacia and sell that phone for £150.
The math, you do it
Do you have a back up system in place?. more important than anything else. BACKUPS.

I've had problems before with usb wireless dongles running on pc's/laptop with old (usb1.0/1). I won't bother you with an explanation.
Are you using the active x flashplayer (installed via IE) or the standalone version. I find the standalone version better.

Hex is even better that binary. C000 is my favourite hex number. but 8000 is nice too cause it's in the middle.
49152 rolls of the tounge better that 32768
Geek? yes. But you wouldn't think to look at me, honest.

yes, it was this post or i'd make a post telling 'flower411' that his sig is wrong
I don't understand binary so knock yourself out! :giggle:
10 in binary is the value 2, but it is not the amount. the amount is 3 because 0 must be counted. in computer binary 0 is the most important number there is.
Anyone wanna know about signed/unsigned binary numbers?
