Last year MrsC fell out of our back door holding our youngest, not quite sure how she did it but she broke her left ankle and had her full leg in a cast.
2 weeks later while hobbling upstairs to see to said youngest she tripped over one of her crutches and broke two toes on her right foot :!:
Cue 3 weeks of her not being able to walk at all and me firemans lifting her to the toilet and bed etc etc.....absolute nightmare confused

Right, i'm not entirely sure we're going to be able to have caddies folks!
As we're limited on the amount of buggies we can have (and you will need 1 - trust me lol) then its not entirely fair on a golfer having to walk while a caddy gets a hitch in a buggy.
I'll confirm with the course but as it stands now we'll have to take golfers only onto the course.

Inspired by the fishing day listed on here somehwere and seeing the amount of swinging swingers kicking about....lets have a golf day!!!
I live up in Teesside but to make it a touch easier for the entire country i've picked in Nottingham as the venue for the day. I've played here a few times and its a really nice course with good facilities and should provide us with a cracking day's golf smile
Numbers will be limited to 32 (8 tee times) so its on a first come first served basis.
I've spoke to them this morning and got the following prices:
Sat 29th September
Bacon butties & coffee on arrival
Tee time 10:00am on the 18 hole par 3 Lee Course
Sandwiches and fries for lunch
Tee time 2:00pm on the 18 hole par 71 Seely Course
Price £44 per person
The course does have a number of buggies at a cost of for the afternoon 18 holes (buggies is a good idea as the back 9 is like playing on the north face of the eiger in some parts lol ) so if you require a buggy can you please say so when confirming your interest, i'll book them and we'll partner up on the day.
What i'm then thinking is we all bring our partners (if you have one - singles more than welcome) for the day, something to eat in Notts somewhere then a night on the lash to make a proper day of it?

It would appear that there is an awful lot of golfers kicking about SH and i've lost count of the amount of times someone has said "we'll have to have a game" and then nothing else is said.....
So, who would be interested in a kind of golf society?
Nothing majorly serious, maybe just a mailing list or a word .doc with people who fancy a game's name, location and mail addy or phone number on....then if anytime you find yourself at a loose end for a golf partner (like i am while my usual golf buddy is on holiday) away you go with the list, find some people near you and mail to your hearts content!
Could also maybe do a social event once a year where the blokes play golf (and the ladies if any play) while the ladies go shopping or do their nails or whatever it is our partners do lol
If anyone fancies it, leave a reply here and if we get enough interest i'll knock a contact list up etc

Worst i've ever had was a 3 day contract doing a warehouse clean at the old British Steel works in Teesside.
We had to strip everything down and clean it up properly and everywhere was caked an inch thick in this "stuff" they called the black fat.
It was minging big style....took me about a week to get rid of the smell and get it all off me!
All for bloody minimum wage too, the things you do when you're young eh?
