Your avtar is better than ours though ;)I (M half of couple) read this and was thinking about this during work....
We are married, VERY happily married, and we count ourselves very lucky indeed. Indeed, we say this to each other frequently - especially after visiting friends who may be struggling in marraige.
We are, and have been, and always will be 100% faithful. There is 100% trust between us - and this is much more than most marraiges. (How many have afairs - is it something like 60%?). This will never happen with us - and friends (mainly single!) say "you can never trust your partner 100%". I can - we do.
To us, as others here, swinging is a way of enjoying life a bit more. Learning new things and exploring F's bi-side. Nothing to do with love - but sex and fun. We don't plan (at the moment) to full swap (have pen-sex with other party), but just soft play which is touching and basically soft extended foreplay. We're not *that* expereienced, but so far, each event could be looked at by outsiders and say "that looked fun and safe!". One of my nicest memories is seeing my wife being pampered by another couple, looking at me lovingly with a smile on her face holding my hand....
At home, we talk/enjoy the memories, but thats it. Whereas we like the couple and enjoyed the fun - there are no emotions involved other than "fun". (If there were we'd leg-it fairly quickly!!). Would either of us swing alone? No - we've enjoyed and plan to enjoy as a couple!
Life is short. Our aim is to enjoy it. Sit in our rocking chairs when we're old and say "Blimey - remember we did XXXXXXXXXX" - rather than "I wish we did....."
We are confident we'll be together till one of us dies.
- and are sure we'll be happy until then.
We're not religous, and do not like/want (and won't have) kids.
We plan to harm no one, and just chill and have fun!
PS - we thought swinging was seedy, sex clubs were tacky. That was last year. What we've learned since then is not the case. There is probably less sex and more chat here than the average night club! The sex clubs we've been to have been lovely. Seriously, chat to others here and perhaps go along and see - its not seedy and can really make strong couple stronger....

;) - great help - we're not alone! Hopefully if we go to BSC as often as we hope, we may see some regular faces (or other body bits) which may help..... We've not been to many clubs either so we'll learn!
We're looking forward to surreycouple2003 party on 30th - as that will obviously be more socialble and help us along!

) Silly question - any other couples find it hard to chat to other couples in clubs? We seem to hide in the corner and are too scared to chat to others (unless its a pre-arranged meet there!). Not scared of anything else - just talking...

Friendship has to come in to it for us, not "best mates" - but at least people we like. Not necessarily fancy - just like. And we said the other day, its like separating the person from the act - so you like the person; you enjoy the act; but the two are not *quite* linked!

Could not agree more. SO many married people do not feel the same - sad. (M half here - cant believe how luck I am (we are?) - 10 years together; 5 married; and still very very happy. And still learning new tricks (I wonder where from SH...!?). Too many people can't talk, stay unhappy, have affairs......)

That says it all. When we first started we ONLY wanted to meet a couple etc, but the first couple encouraged going to a club (Chams) instead. We all had a good time (not with each other), but don't think it was a great click sadly.
If we went OUR way we'd have been put off, possibly mentally forced into a situation, or just had a shite time.
So we'd completely agree with you on this! And if anyone thinks they are too innocent to go - you aren't! If we can go - so can you!

Deffinately bad timing
Not only that - we planned a romantic weekend away and are staying in nice place for a long weekend! We're both gutted - but we'll have a good weekend anyway. We just can't believe our luck (or lack of it!).
So tonight will be nice meal out, nice bottle of wine, and it'll a relaxing weekend instead....
Why oh why are Chameleons & Utopia SO FAR AWAY!? If they were more local it wouldn't be such an adventure to visit.

Planning a long weekend for months to go to a club - and we are off tomorrow.... Planning utopia tomorrow night!
But due to comming off pill a few months ago due to M *snip*, cycle is random.... and signs are its gonna be *very* bad timing tomorrow!

Utopia couples night is Friday (we're off there next weekend and makking the weekend of it!) - and Chameleons down the road is couples night Saturday. ;)
We've only been to chameleons twice but had good fun (with oursleves) both times. Our biggest hangup is talking to someone! LOL! Apart from 1st 10 minutes, never felt silly or out of place.
