are you actualy old enough to remember MT or just go on what peeple tell you dunno
i lived and worked through the MT years. (check my profile for my age) I do not want to dwell on the past, but i saw the way the country was ripped apart socially. This was when the culture of greed and them and us came into to being. The majority of this country lacks a social conscience, which ironically is exactly what DC is espousing now.
And yes, she is a frail old lady. Just because she is does not make any difference what my opinions are of her.
We have even more on board now and getting regular requests and with time still to run!!
This will be a really fun evening. As before, we would just love to welcome some more couples and single females as this is proving very, very popular with the guys!!! Surprise! Surprise!
I will have to start limiting them soon, such a shame with all those handsome, attractive, sexy males to meet and chat to! Come on, you know it makes sense!biggrin

I have planned a social evening for those interested on the 3 March at 8pm in the Brighton/Hove area. It will be a totally relaxed informal pub evening to allow members to meet up, say hello, and get to know each other and to put names to faces. There will be opportunity to go onto other pubs nearby or just stick to the one were in, I’m sure we will have a great time having a drink or two and getting to know each other.
There is an assumption that GB should have had extraordinary powers to see into the future in respect of selling the gold reserves. If anyone has "sold england by the pound" it was MT bless her little cotton ones.
i still have the Champagne on Ice for when she pops her clogs!
What title could GB be stripped of exactly and did you know that Gold was at rock bottom prices, Did you buy at that time?

and what happens to the chairman of lloyds TSB? did that bank not lose a fortune as well?
there are many others who have made massive errors of judgements that have lost this country millions, if not billions of pounds, that have gone unpunished.
HERE IS A LITTLE CLUE.

any clues needed as to who sold our gold reserves at rock bottom prices, and lost possibly billions of pounds of tax payers money? as a clue he was chancellor of our exchequer who had first hand knowledge of gold and its prices. even minnie mouse would have known not to sell at those bottom prices.
what did he get punished by exactly?
i think this idiot deserves a similar fate. dont you?
God i feel 22!!

Well, given that I turned 35 last birthday, I can't say I've ever felt old on the swinging scene.
I kinda liked it when I turned about 32 and all of a sudden hot young men were interested in me as an 'older woman' :rascal: I must say, I've "appreciated" wink there youthful vigour and enthusiasm lots since!

I'm turning 33 next birthday.. Hope some hot young women are interested in me then :lol2:
I need to trade Shi in for a younger model bolt
What total dross, that is the trouble with Britaain now, everyone is full of apathy. i think its right that "the people" stand up and be counted, that is true democracy, not the lily livered attitude that the state knows best and is always right! It is not. the irony of the student fees is that most will never be paid back, or if it is it will take decades! All it means is that the Govt is saddled with a huge debt that it is never likely to recover. Who are these layabout wankers? Oh yes, probably middle class wankers, sons of MP's or multimillionaire musicians. And as for destroying peoples livelihoods, I think the bankers and the present govt are doing a a pretty good job at that!
Quote by flower411
It`s interesting that when the last government tried to destroy peoples livelihoods by banning hunting, the protests were peaceful and the police are on record as commenting on how well behaved the protestors were.
When a bunch of layabout wankers who think they should be given everything on a silver platter get told they might have to pay their own way for once rather than sitting about spongeing off the rest of us .....there`s violence ........
So much for democracy rolleyes
And if you have plenty of money it does not matter how thick you are, you can still get a job in the Govt or banking.

In the (good) old days, places of excellence such as Manchester Grammar didn't need league tables to tell potential employers or Universities (in the days that there were real Universities) that the candidate was properly educated. Places on Medicine and Barrister Law courses were assured.
If you went to an 'ordinary' grammar school, the candidate might have to be more convincing but a potential employer or University would generally know the kind of standard to be expected without the need for meaningless league tables.
If as an employer, you wanted someone good with their hands in a 'crafty' sort of way, you would look for candidates from the Technical High Schools.
And finally, if you wanted a labourer or someone who could use brawn rather than brain, you went to the Secondary Modern School when looking for candidates.
It was all so simple.
At the end of the day, surely no film could ever really match your own imagination when reading a novel. You create your own imagery, the content may be similar, but your own perception of an event will never be the same as that portrayed in film, even if it does come close.
Quote by Bluefish2009
I find, more often than not that the book is far better than the film. Most times there is to much information lost when a book is turned into a film
Quote by neilinleeds
I don't think it's always offensively . It can be playful and friendly or full of agression and venom, depending on the context. 'Fuck off you daft cunt' is very different from 'Go fuck yourself you thick fucking cunt', and different from 'I love the taste of your cunt you dirty little bitch' again. It's all in the intent.

Totally agree with that Neil, it is also interesting the inflection that is put on it by different dialects, both regional or international. To my mind it just does not have the same qualities when expressed by say an american or other english speaking nations. The English/British i think tend to express it more with more of a "k" especially when said aggressively.
This is the bump!!!

The Cock Inn, is a lovely place to be anytime.

During the current period of austerity it would appear that the more 'upmarket' bars are suffering worse than other hostelries. As a result I'd like to propose a rebranding of the SH Cocktail Bar, giving it a wider appeal, maybe in the form of a gastro pub?
To give it more 'street appeal' perhaps it needs a new name, so feel free to add your suggestions along with your drink and food orders below.
To start things off I'll add my idea first:
"The Cock in Hand"
Right, I'm off to the kitchen to fire up the Aga and switch on the bain maries. ;)

I am hoping for a good take up, so that we can create a more formal group and arrange further events on a more regular basis. So get your ass down there and let’s make it a good one!

Not wishing to get into some long drawn out discussion about what a swinger is, that has been done to death!! However i am curious about your comment a "shag site" when you were on here several years prior to becoming part of a couple, what were your motives? Was it a lifestyle that you wanted to adopt from the outset?

Hi there,
Amber here from Devious Delights. Myself and J are very new to this site (Wednesday!!) I however have been a member for seven years under my single profile (Ambervixen).
I do think that a lot of people see this as a shag site rather than a swinging site, but it is easy to spot them.

Shove is still really popular around here, and one pub has recently had a Bar Billiard table put back in and it is often used by "young" patrons. unless it is just the novelty factor!
Good Game!
Phew what a relief!! i was getting seriously worried for you!.

Thanks everybody redface.....I feel safer already, not only am I to have an appointed "minder", but how could anyone even think about molestin' me when they could be playin dominoes or cribbage.
Now listed in events.
It will be fun, guaranteed!

Dominoes and a cribbage board....yippee ...... haven't played 5's an' 3's feer yonks
I fully understand your apprehension, when all you will become is a womans plaything for the night. i suppose you will just have to grin and bear it, not easy i am sure, but it is a cross you will have to bear.
P.S i have requested a Cribbage board to be available.

I'm not goin' if there's gonna be lots of girls there.....they're only after one thing, makes a guy feel like he's expected to be there just to be used and abused as the women decide. Well I'm sorry but I'm not that easy! Unless I can find someone to go with who will make sure I'm unmolested after I've had a drink or two, then I might have to decline.
Surely the whole purpose of this site is to make contact with “other”. Or perhaps its not??? Whether they fit your criteria would not be known until you read the msg surely? I accept that if you receive a msg from say a single male and you specifically ask for couples or similar, then yes that would be an annoyance. I think what the poster is getting at is a valid point, unless you are fortunate enough to receive several hundred requests in a week, I do not think it is unreasonable for one to click the thanks but no thanks button"? If someone has gone to the effort to send a message, you to open it, maybe view their profile, how much more difficult can it be to click one button???

So you seriously want us to waste our time replying to people we never wanted to hear from in the first place?
Same as!
However I would say my any book or film has to really captivate me. I need mental and visual stimulation to move me. Some books still reside in my mind, such as The White Hotel, by D M Thomas. I prefer stories that can evoke strong and powerful imagery or shock. It is rare to find a film that can depict the true essence of a book. Films on the whole do it for me, as I tend to read more factual books. Who could not like the homo eroticism of 300 the darkness of Sin city or the imagery of David Lynch! marvellous

When someone makes a film based on a book that I have actually read I'll answer the thread question lol
To me it is all about empire building, nothing more, let them have independence, as long as that is what it is. Like most I know a few Scots, and on the whole they could not give a shit, or appreciate know where their bread is buttered. Alex Salmond and his cronies are only interested in their own kudos. Nothing more.
Quote by tweeky
I had a bit of a think and a bit of a read up on some stuff which is unusual for me lol What I came up with was this. Scotland was happy to sign the treaty of the union mainly for its own bennefit and happy to bennefit from it for the best part of 250 year during which the UK was for a large period the worlds foremost power. Now only 80 years on from the end of the largest empire the world has ever seen and with things not so rosie Scotland want out (possibly) and with the largest asset the UK has. With friends like that who needs enemys? Just seems a good way to screw over the rest of the UK. Not like much would change for Scotland. Join the EU they can all continue working here those that need to that is. Is anyone likely to Nuke Scotland? Just about as likely as Canada for the same reason. One down side would be Scottish mail! I mean now the Royal mail man will probably hand the sack to the Scottish mail man  variation in name only I would guess. Day in day out not much would change for Scotland other than the possibility of greater financial security.
From the small nhumber of Scots I have spoken to it would seem they are not overly bothered by independance. Seems to be more of a Political thing but thats not to say Scotts wont vote for it if they see financial bennefit. I guess time will tell but if what they want is out and if for the reasons mainly stated above then I would say .... off and dont come back either.
Hmmm not really, i just thought it would be "nice" to contact other people in different countries via the same website, at no additional do travel around the world, and as for wanking on camera i am sure that goes on between people in the same town, not my thing, all does is make it sticky and the picture fuzzy anyway.
Quote by pebble
it could create a truly international experience.

A truly international experience of... wanking on camera? No thanks, up-and-down-the-UK is wide enough for me!
i think they are spending too much time on the new Canadian site set up.
having said that it would be very useful if members could access other sites without paying again. it could create a truly international experience.

Just a quick question to fellow members, Are any of you experiencing problems getting on the site in the last couple of days and having problems moving around the site?
We have had a 502 Bad Gateway message come up and a Media error message come up when viewing a pic ?
Is it a site fault or our laptop?
The numbers are growing steadily and still two weeks to go. Invitations have also gone to others within the locale, hope to see you there! If you were not interested please accept my apologies for bothering you.

They were probably strikers being called to judgement by a Clarkson supporter....

I've resurrected this thread having just watched two siblings going through hell on earth in a press conference following the death of their parents in an (as yet) unexplained murder in the West Midlands.
I thought of Clarkson and his comment about taking people out into the street and shooting them in front of their family.
You know, he's not far off in my opinion. I think he speaks for more people than he is given credit for.
Whoever is responsible for this terrible crime should be executed in this way to serve as an example to others.

possibly a labour supporter then dunno
There does seem to be a rather more deep seated bitterness expressed in those views.
Possibly a Tory/libdem/coalition supporter?

See you still haven't managed to take that foot out of your mouth
Thank you Max, i was merely expressing my agreement with the statement. However i would suggest on balance the right wing views are far more vitriolic than those expressed by the posters who may have more left or even middle ground leaning tendencies. but then that is the nature of right wing thinkers i assume.
