It's really soon now.
Trouble is I look like a glue sniffer! I was doing fire eating and breathing for two hours on thursday night and kind of singed round my mouth. Probably dosn't look to bad to everyone else but to me it looks awful. Wish I was a girl, I could just cover it in make up. Gonna keep applying aloe vera and hope it dosn't get any worse. It can't be that bad cos I went on a date last night and spent a good while snogging!
See you all in a few hours....

This reminds me of the time I had Glandular Fever and a throat infection all at the same time
My throat was so painful and swollen that all I could have was soup or these symptoms along with a temperature that meant I had to have my bedclothes changed three times a day persisted for 3 an almost entirely liquid diet i can assure you that even a hiccup could have ended in a rather nasty "accident" This was not helped by being attached to a drip that was too large for the toilet cubicle in the ward so meaning I had to leave the door open each time I had these watery delights to dispense.
On telling my friends this they went and told everyone else, becoming via the magic of Chinese whispers that I had been admitted to hospital as I couldn't stop shi**ing.
Oh great days, great people

I did the glandular fever thing when I was 19, what a nightmare that is. A girl I'd been seeing came round to check on me and while she was there I staggered to the bog and threw up so violently I burst the blood vessels in both nostrils - the poor girl thought I was puking up blood. Anyway, my mum sent my brother 200 miles to pick me up and for a week I had a temperature of 104 f plus and didn't eat or sleep. I couldn't make it to the toilet unaided and I dropped to about 9 stone (not much for a 6' 2" bloke). Then to top it all, 3 months later all my hair fell out as a result of such a sustained high temperature. Luckily my hair did recover, which was a bloody good job cos I was a goth with an enourmous backcombed hairdo at the time.
Anyway Fred, sorry for turning this into a 'you think THAT'S ill...' thread but you started it... lol
Bump!
Just thought I'd do that!
I'm keen to catch up with a few people before the munch for a bite (to eat). I've got a few leads and mobile numbers but it all seems a bit haphazard. I hope some of you will take a newbie (me) and another newbie that NWC has put me in touch with under your duvet, I mean wing wink
You might have started this thread before I forked out on my hotel room!!!
Still, having the room gives me more options I suppose.
I wonder how many rooms booked between us are not gonna get slept in?
I heard that Marilyn Manson had some ribs removed for that reason.
Sounds tempting...
New and improved.
New AND improved - how do you do that then, it's either new or improved, it can't be both.
Oh hang on... *re reads thread* just ignore me, I'm getting all giddy at the prospect of my munch cherry popping on Saturday...

My eyes...My eyes.......... it burns my eyes

Don't worry about your eyes, it's my mouth I'm worried about, I just did a fire eating/breathing job for two hours and my lips are a bit tender - I hope they'll be kissable again by Saturday evening, cos I'm a hoping for a bit of random tongue twisting! kiss
Some girls do,
Some girls don't,
Some girls need a lot of loving,
And some girls want to be totally and utterly abused! I've only just managed to get my head round it, with the help of my fuck buddy who I've known for years - she absolutely goes mental for it - we still haven't found where her threshold is... Gonna keep trying though, it's a dirty filthy sweaty grunting bitch of a job - but someone's gotta do it

just a thought ............ but maybe we could have a no photo zone ? a bit like a non smoking area ?
i dont know how possible that is with each given venue ........ but its a thought dunno

I put something about this in another thread. I think that, to keep most people happy, a 'photo corner' would be a good idea and ban camera's from most of the Munch. Jumping the gun a bit seeing as this will be my first munch but there you go, my tuppence worth!

Oh no!
The last poll option 'Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart 250 or more partners' didn't go on.

Managed to get it there for you eventually redface

Thank you so much - hope you don't get inundated with people wanting to be upgraded to Mozart from Michelangelo as the option wasn't there before I think some Mozart's have had to be Michelangelo's.
It seems I'm too thin to live with my BMI of 20!!!
Thing is, I'm one of the healthiest people I know!
I've only got 54 years left, bloody hell, how am I gonna fit it all in....
Aw, thanks for trying - I forgot you were a mod! (it's early!)
:laughabove: :laughabove: :laughabove: :laughabove:
In your memoirs? You should keep a diary and show it to your great grandchildren when they ask you to knit jumpers and bake cakes and explain that you didn't have time to learn to knit and bake!
Where's a mod when you need one, I'm really upset that I screwed up my poll and I'd really like it mended. :upset:

Is that partners per month, year, or what?
I voted before you said the last option didn't go on, so just call me Mozart, hehehehehehehehehehehehe
And I'm really not artistic

I think it means partners for life???
Oh no!

Does anyone know Macclesfield? I am trying hard to remember if it is a leafy village at some altitude with lovely stone houses but a very busy and noisy main street.
Also I saw on the map a place called Holmfirth and the name rings a bell. Was it on any television programme?

My youngest son was born in Macclesfield. It's generally quite a nice place but not the poshest bit of Cheshire. What do you want to know about it?
Of course they are, some of them don't know it yet, that's all...
Bloody footy fans hijacking a perfectly good thread. Aren't there some football forums you can go and bitch about each other on??? poke
Yes, the candid ones are great but it's a pain having to blur out all the faces that didn't want to be included!

Manchester is beginning to sound exciting,

If you like excitement then Moss Side, Cheetham Hill and Longsight are highly recommended. lol
I live on the edge of Moss Side and it's great, really good community spirit - neighbours with phone numbers and keys for each others houses, kids all play together, go to each others gigs and art exhibitions. I help my neighbours fix their cars and write official letters etc etc
How many city dwellers live in a community?
I take lots of photos of parties and gigs (all vanilla so far) and I've been thinking how I'd love to take my camera to munches and events but I realise it's a very thorny issue. I won't be taking my camera to Wigan munch - it's my first munch so I don't think it would be appropriate.
What I was thinking (ahead, quite a bit!) is that it would be quite nice to set up a photo corner at events where people who wanted their picture taken could be photographed without making the camera shy ones nervous about cameras being about. If it was organised ish then people who wanted pictures of themselves could get them and people who didn't mind/wanted to share them could state their desires.
Anyway, a bit premature seeing as I've not even met anyone yet but it's an idea...
Tania.
Please don't tell too many people but the rain thing is a myth we made up to stop too many southerners relocating here and pushing the property prices up!
Depending on wether you want to rent or buy and what your budget is and what facilities you want to be near to, anywhere from the city centre out through Hulme and Whalley range to Chorlton and Didsbury and some of the surrounding areas is all pretty much recommended. I was looking for a house in these areas for 2 years so I know the property market quite well. If you want a guided tour of some of the areas and some of the better bars and such like, I'd be more than happy to oblige. Most of my work is in the summer so I get to play most of the winter!
As far as going out goes - Manchester rocks! I go out most nights to see gigs and take photographs and I rarely spend more than £20 on a night out - including the taxi home!
Feel free to reply in this thread or PM me for my phone number if you like.
Bump coffee (couldn't find a food emoticon!)
Any interest in this or maybe an invite for Devon Delight and I to join in where anyone else is going for a meal. I promise I have good table manners and I'm sure DD does too wink
