I will admit, in a noisey environment, to touching on the hand or shoulder to get attention and then asking (made the mistake once of making a big assumption and got my head bitten off).
I will also admit to watching a women with someone after I was refused by her.
I consider both those situations to be OK. Have I been under a misaprehension and doing things wrong ??
