Thinking hard on the OP i think that my kids are really fortunate that they dont see things in the same light as I do as regards seeing the 'differences' in things from how and the world which i was brought up in. In fact i'm a bit chuffed that I have brought my kids up to not even have such things cross their minds or occur to them now that they are of an age where these things could be issues.
My daughter came home today saying a load of girls were calling her a Lesbian. I said "well did you tell a teacher?" She said "no i told them I was keeping my options open", Not saying anything I smiled and thought good on you girl, you be what your going to be.
She did however ruin the moment by saying I need a £10'er this weekend Dad

I never questioned how hard people work,I merely wondered about the true value of that root of any economy/society is what it produces, the harridan Thatcher failed to recognise this and we all paid and are paying the price.
The media and political classes of our country have since then derided and belittled the working classes, when once we were the salt of the earth we are now all chavs ,poorly educated lager louts and scum.
So when you tell me about your paperwork in such an affronted manner consider that everyday in some paper or news report me and mine are insulted and mocked,I am offended I am angry and I have no compunction about repaying this in kind.
I repeat (with a caveat) the middle classes are and have been historically parasites, their livings are earned on the sweat of another mans brow....caveat I would exclude to a large extent though not entirely the medical and teaching proffesions

this is the reason why i posted a thread about tongue in cheek this morning because i dont think the OP, had any intention to offend or generalise, she might have expected men to come up with funny excuses why we avoid the gym,i strongly feel this issue has been misinterpretated and taken far out of concept, below is her first reply...

Ah yes yes coming from someone who ignores the content of my post to comment on the final line in isolation.

Ok, so us girls generally are looking after ourselves. The photo evidence is on the profiles. We're not looking for athletes or gym type fanatics, just people that take care.

So why are the majority of men on here carrying the equivalent of a 6 pack or three? Come on guys, visit a gym and get in shape. Please! Pretty please.

didn`t make it clear last night but there were 3 older children there too, about 7 ,8 and 10. only a small pub, about the size of 3 living rooms, open plan so there was nowhere remotely safe if anything happened, nowhere quiet for them to avoid the adult behaviour that happens in pubs.

We have all got labels, fat, thin, ugly, beautiful, idle, workaholics and whatever else. But it all comes down to being comfortable with yourself. Loving the you, who you are. Because if you don't like yourself, then I'm pretty sure nobody else will!!

I am not keen on children being in pub at that time of night. Our children certainly wouldn't have been there.
Ours do go to family type pubs sometimes with my parents but they leave before 9 pm.
If kids are running round in a pub, it pisses me right off because it is not the place for it
It wouldn't sit well with me if a baby was in a pub at 12 because IMHO, pubs are for adults to relax away from babies and kids at that time of night.
BTW, can we actually have a thread running without any bickering please because all this arguing is starting to grate on my nervsBe objective but don't be personal

OK .. legal issues aside.
I can`t see anything wrong with a five month old baby being anywhere at all with it`s parents. As long as, at least one of them is not drinking.
My daughter was born in France and I found the complete acceptance of babies and children in French society to be very refreshing.
I was shocked when I returned to England and found that people were so judgemental about the way other people looked after their children.
As far as I`m concerned babies sleep most of the time anyway and if they go out and about in all situations with their parents, they will grow up knowing how to behave in public places.

All of us as we enter our mid 30s/40s are inclined to put on a bit of timber.
The trick is to try to keep it at bay. Health factors alone should be reason enough.
We live sedentary life styles if you work in an office and your hobby is going online you are spending a disproportunate amout of time sitting down getting no excercise.
Its very simple really make the effort to walk 40mins 3/4 times a week perhaps giving up some time at the pc to do so.
There is no need to join to an expensive gym to get excercise.
Calling the poster a bully is totally uncalled for.
