I wasn't aware that this site ever discriminated against same sex couples. We do actually a have a few active same sex couples on here, nd I don't see how the new laws are going to change that.

Sarge may I take this opportunity to say that I think you mods are doing a great job in the face of much adversity! And before anyone blames me of sucking up to the MODS - I am not! Having been part of a "takeover" in the RL I can just imagine what it is like behind the scenes. If I was a mod I don't think I would still be around. I think the fact that you guys still mod VOLUNTARILY shows a dedication to this community above and beyond the call of duty!

Umm mine because I was gay and the rainbow is the "symbol" of being gay.
Then I decided I was actually bi - and "bluepink& purple" just didn't have the same ring to it confused

The forum lot changed it to Bows anyway biggrin

. And I am curently looking at setting up a bead importing company called Crafty Bows.
So I guess Rainbows has been a good name for me cool

And you'll have to ask Vix how aRSe came about. Or do a search - it's out there somewhere in the lost threads!

Sorry - this isn't really a whinge - just a query. I notice that the information given over there on the left - including the section "About Us" is still the original "stuff" from Mark. With so many new members joining every day surely this is misleading? Is Symbios trying to hide something here? Even the "Important Announcement" thread hasn't been made a sticky.
It don't know why but it makes me uncomfortable that the "outside" should still be the old SH owned and run by Mark - with the "inside" designed and run commercially. It just feels to me like something is being hidden. Like Symbios want the site to continue to look like a community built and run site rather than a commercial enterprise - which is is now - whether you like it or not.
Does anyone else feel the same?

Okay - so I have only JUST caught up with the marathon thread that introduced the new owners of the site. Okay - so I didn't get the whole way through it confused

But I did get to the bit that said that if I make something like 48 forum posts in a year I MAY be able to keep my free membership. Not sure when the clock started running on that - so hey I figured I better get started! :shock: The clock is ticking. Well - if its the SH clock then I'm not too sure how that'll work :?

Anyway - thanks to all who answered & gave advice. Someone said to me that I should beware becuase things can change very quickly. Well - the way I see it - the same applies to ANY relationship! People seem quick to jump on unconventional relationships when they break up and say "told you so" - but never say that when "conventional" relationships do the same!
Thanks to those who said honestly is paramount. I believe that that is how it should be in ANY relationship. Am I naive? Probably. That's probably why none of my "conventional" relationships have gotten past a year. I am too damn honest.
Who knows where this particular journey in my life will lead. I am not really too bothered to be honest. I have learnt to live in today and enjoy today and I shall continue to do just that in this relationship. A year ago when I joined SH as a very non experienced swinger (which I remain! - well kinda. Sort of a little more experienced :P ) some would have said to me that I was going down a path of immoral distruction. Well it didn't lead there did it! It lead me to friends and a welcoming community. I welcome the new world that this new experience may bring me. I know that to date it has brought me more love, affection and a feeling of belonging than I have experienced. I will never regret it. And I am not that naive that I believe it will last forever.
