Lets be honest, we've always had twats on here, some come and go, others have stayed (and become regular and well known forum users
), but with the large numbers of so called newbies joining the forum, when they formerly probably only used the ads, they are some really nice peeps amongst them just waiting to be discovered.Now the initial flurry has calmed down a bit, perhaps we could all try to make some of these people feel more welcome if they pm us, instead of leaving the site in droves and coming back here to tell us how crap it is on here and how it's more welcoming elsewhere.

I know we've all had a jolly good moan over the last few weeks about newbies pm'ing us. There are few who have escaped the *wanna shag* brigade, but I wanted to let everyone know that there is a positive side to some of it 
We have had zillions . . . well ok, slight exaggeration there, but loads anyway . . . of pm's from newbies recently.
Some have been absolute bollox, some not even worth the time it took to read them, but in amongst them all, we have found some really nice people
Often, they are not local to us looking to meet, or looking for anything other than to say Hi, but since they are articulate, polite and chatty is is a real pleasure to open a message from them
Perhaps we should restart the "pm someone you don't yet know" thread and see how many new friends can be made :angel:

They must be able to reply in order to have submitted the ad in the first place. I don't think you can have an ad if you are not a fully paid up member or one whose membership has been given premium status , ie, those of us who were members before the cut off date of around mid November.
Maybe you're just unlucky and those you have replied to have just not bothered to answer, which is rude and a tad annoying I know, but some people get masses of replies and cannot possibly answer every single one of them.

Most likely reason is because they are not single guys, but married ones who want the fantasy but can't explain to the wife where they are going, so never get to live it
We're lucky in that we've never had a no-show, but there's always a first time and although we don't make arranged meets very often, I'm always nervous that each time will be the first
If someone did let us down without letting us know, I would not give them a second chance as I always give my email adress, msn and also phone number, so there is no reason why they can't let us know one way or the other.
No-shows - it's their loss and you're better off without them.
