Another little thing which needs tweaking please.
On our accounts, we have the facility to block mail from certain member types. So in theory, if we do not wish to be contacted by a certain group, we could block them and never see the messages if anyone in the catgory should send us a pm.
However, in practise this is not the case. On trying this out with another account, I first blocked contact for the second account so that it could not be contacted by *Couples*.
I then pm'd that account from this Redhot one, which is a couples account.
Not only did the former account get the flashing red *new message* when next signed in, as it had also got a tick in the box to forward any site pm's to the email address, the pm duly appeared in the email inbox anyway :doh:
I then reverted back to Redhot and found the pm in my sent box had been marked as "read" by the recipient confused

Is it not possible for those in groups which have been declined contact by a member, to get a message telling them they are unable to contact that member and NOT be able to send the pm?
Otherwise, it rather defeats the object of having the facility to *block* certain groups from contact, when in practise they can pm to their hearts content rolleyes

I've just logged on and read this on the front of the forums page:
In total there are 41 users online :: 94 Visible, 18 Hidden and 1 Guests
I know education today is not what it once was, but this takes the cake :shock: lol

There was infact only 22 users showing on line.
We have Freckledbird to correct any grammatical errors on here, but do we have a mathematition in the house who could give someone a few lessons? rotflmao

Jon and I will be out and about tomorrow night from around 9pm. It will be our last trip out until after the New Year.

Mr D I've just taken you off iggy and the pm you sent to me has now appeared in the in box, plus the red flasher has gone, so it looks at present the only way to be rid of the flasher is to remove someone from iggy, delete the email without reading and them put them back on iggy rolleyes

All of a sudden, I have a headache blink

I notice we now have a facility to put people on an "ignore list" on our accounts.
If someone is put on this list and then subsequently tries to pm us, would it go into our deleted box automatically as a kind of junk filter, or would they get a message telling them they are on ignore and not be able to send the message?
I don't have anyone in mind to add to mine, but just curious lol

Take for instance, the recent showing of a dramatised version of Bleak House. This is one sort of programme I do like. Period drama with good actors, beautiful sets and exquisite costumes. I expected it to be shown in either one or two hours slots as these progs usually are.
A multi million pound production, all star cast, etc, but shown in half hour slots and labelled a "soap version" of a classic book, which would apparently appeal to this soap addicted society.
Do they think no one can sit and watch something for longer than 30 minutes now before losing interest? rolleyes

We often wonder why we bother with a tv licence, since we probably only put the tv on about half a dozen times a year and then it would have to be something which really grabs our interest.

Anyone who posts a lot would very quickly find themselves in undated with notifications and some email accounts such as etc, can very soon become overloaded.
IMO the person wanting to view the replies should make the effort to tick the box. I don't want to tick the box to avoid all the junk in my mail confused

Straight here too.
We've noticed recently that a lot more men seem to be asking for bi males within a couple too. We get loads of replies to our ad, which although it states that Jon is straight, they still ask if he is open to an orally bi guy joining us for a 3 some rolleyes

Rather defeats the object of our ad really, since the idea is to have another guy join us to give me all the attention lol

I have had a bi experience and although not unpleasant, it didn't do a lot for me, so I've not had another and prefer sticking to the guys :P

Passed first time at age 17. Bought a car three days later and drove it straight to the midlands to visit friends.
Almost ran into problems half way there though as it nearly ran out of petrol and I didn't know how to put more in, so had to stop at a garage and ask the guy behind the counter to put some in for me redface

It was an old cheap and cheerful banger but the back seat certainly saw a lot of action . . . no change there then :P wink

I doubt anyone on here would class themselves as anything other than genuine. How many times have we heard on forum or read in the ads the old war cry "I'm a genuine male/couple/fem" etc, only to find out they are total prats and far from being gen swingers, they're just out for a quick shag? confused

A simple way to avoid unwanted pm's is to clear your profile of any info apart from staus - couple, single fem or whatever - then change your age to around 100 years old and Voila! no one will want to pm you after that!
Works for me and since I changed our details yesterday evening, we've not had any unwanted pm's at all lol
