I've not noticed that, as I've not been looking for it, but after reading your thread, I have just signed up under another ID to test the system, and it doesn't allow for anyone born after 1987 to register, so anyone joining now, would have to be at least 18 years old, so although it may look bad, and I have to agree it most certainly does, in THEORY a minor could not join the site.
That is not to say they won't, just by faking their age/year of birth as some have already done in the past even on the old SH.
I once chatted in pm to a young lad who claimed to be only 15 years old :shock: evil

Of course I reported him and he was very quickly removed from the room, but unless we go down the road of having an adult verification system using credit/debit cards, I imagine there is little that can be done to ensure a minor will NEVER access these type of sites sad

I asked this yesterday on another thread, but when I logged on a few hours later, the thread had been removed so I'm not sure if anyone bothered to reply or not rolleyes

I can understand the mods/admin wishing to know such a detail, but I firmly reject the idea that other members can see when I come on line and when I don't. What's the point of having the ability to hide your on-line status, if they can see from your profile that you have logged on recently dunno

I understand your frustration (no pun intended).
We hardly ever read the ads local to us, as we seldom have the need because we get loads of replies to our own.
However, I've recently taken to reading some for our area and most of them seem to be either bi or gay guys looking for other men.
I know Bournemouth has a large gay community and no probs with that, but perusing the very few ads looking for a straight single guy to join us doesn't take very long at all sad

They certainly seem to be in full awareness, so Wishmaster is not the only one who could have told her. The mods could have done so too.

Does Wishmaster threaten physical harm to every single member of this site,, or just to the site itself?
Does he have a history of physical or sexual abuse on members?
If so, would it not have been to Voddy's advantage to warn her that *she* and everyone else, may have been in physical danger? The way I read it is that he has made threats to the mods, not every single member on here.
Or does he just make wild irrational threats and have a hot temper?
If it has suddenly become ok for Kaz to still have her party thread on forum and for Wishmaster to still go, does this enforce the idea that he is not an actual threat to the members in general, maybe just the mods and the site?
Whilst I do not for one minute, advocate threats of harm to ANYONE, if he has not made threats to ordinary site members, would it not just have been easier for Mal and Missy to have dropped out of the Pompey social, after informing Voddy of their reasons?
As I understand it, she was not aware of any threats being made, so would have no reason to be concerned when moderators put their names down to attend confused

She specifically asked Missy on her thread to put her name down. No one can surely believe she would have invited her along, knowing that she would have been in danger ffs!!! mad

I fail to see how banning her for 14 days is going to achieve anything, especially as it is now stated publicly that Kaz may continue to keep her party thread on forum, when it is known that Wishmaster is going to be there. She has not been banned when it would appear that the mods have known all along that Wishmaster was to be attending :?
The only reason I can see for Voddy's ban is that mods were going to be in attendance, but with this in mind, I have not followed Kaz's thread, but am I to take it that no mods have elected to attend her function?
I have never met Wishmaster, nor had a lot to say with him apart from the usual chatroom stuff, but what I do know is that Voddy would never knowingly have put anyone in danger, so either she was not aware or he is not an actual threat to ordinary site members, or both.
Either way, the rules were bought in AFTER her social night was planned, same as it was also AFTER Kaz's party was. How come Voddy gets a ban, when both these events were planned BEFORE the new *rules* ? :?

Very slim chance I imagine. The event is a social night and they usually take place at a neutral venue where there is no pressure to play.
Also as I understand it, the club is very small so would not hold many and also does not have a licensed bar.
Besides, the organisers are hardly likely to agree to meet there, now you've publicy requested it on open forum rolleyes
