So far this year:
I have lost the only set of car keys to my friend's car
Left my brand new laptop in the reception area of a hotel
Got in the shower with my glasses on (more than once)
Gone shopping and forgot the one thing I went for but came back with 4 bags full of stuff
Left the house still wearing my slippers
there is no hope for me, luckily I've got a forgiving hubby

Mind you we've a laptop size hard disk external housing we can slot them into, then they appear on the test box as an external drive, so just scan the drive and then copy contents across to the spare NAS.
Depends on size of the hard disk, but usually done in an hour - quicker if just looking for one folder or picture gallery

We've got a thingymajig that we can plug old hard disk drives into.
We can then see the contents of the drive on my PC and copy anything you need off the drive and put it somewhere safe.
It takes about an hour.

Yes I think it is easier for the first meet to be with a 'stranger' (someone we have met on SH).
We have made many friends here some we play with, some we haven't played with yet and some who we probably never will, but our common interest is swinging and it is wonderful to be open about who we are and what we do.
