How about a small tale from my day today - a mighty Senior Moment I had.
I went for a run with a mate today, up in the forest of dean, so I chucked my gear in my bag, grabbed my trainers and left.....only to realise when I arrived and was changing that I had grabbed one shoe from two different pairs (and not even that similar pairs....
), thus I had to run looking like a complete muppet. Plus, one trainer was lower than the other, so it gave me bit of a weird limp.
Add in my gasping, sweating 'running face' and you have a real "Hello ladies" moment.
Well, made me chuckle anyway.

Tough life being a single male on here - being part of the baying hordes, those of us who are gently average simply don't stand out perhaps.
Such is life though, I've dished out plenty of pms and emails etc, all polite and giving info about myself etc, never trying to be pushy or apply pressure - just trying to come across as genuine and normal bloke - and for the most part I'm roundly ignored with barely any replies. But I don't have a God given right to expect people to reply, everyone here has their own agenda, and why should there be any pressure from me to expect people to reply? I'm not arogant enough to think I'm some sort of adonis.
So I'll keep dishing out the 'hello' mails and I'll keep browsing the forum and rummaging around the chatroom. And if nothing ever comes of registering on here (and I suspect nothing will) then so be it. This isn't something you can force, and I'm happy enough pottering about with the rest of you, even though I'm in the background.

Ah man, I feel for you. All I can say is you'll cope and eventually things will settle down and you'll feel normal again.
Must be something in the air because I've just gone through the exact same thing - a couple of months ago, my missus of 7 years came home and announced she wasn't happy and promptly moved out or our house (which we'd just bought) and back to her mums. We're now in the middle of selling up and I still haven't had a satisfactory explanation as to why she threw away everything we worked for. In fact I've barely seen her since she left and I'm not sleeping very well still.
We bought a big expensive duvet together to snuggle up under in the winter, within the week I was dumped. :cry:
Chin up anyway mate, you'll get through this. Its hard, but you'll do it - I am, others on here have managed it. Spend time with family and friends and gradually the heart break will fade away.

I've not been here very long, but these chatrooms are infinately better than some, which descend into a morass of terrible ads for websites and utter rubbish. I have actually managed to hold 1 or 2 conversations on here
They're tricky things, chatrooms. The more people are in them, the harder it gets to have a coherent correspondance with someone - you tend to end up with a variety of conversations all going on at once, which gets confusing. And you often need superhuman typing skills to get your response in at the right time, before it ends up 6 lines down and makes no sense!
And don't be so hard on us single males! Some of us are genuinely trying to meet people, and are prepared to put the gorundwork in to meet and get to know people first - we're not all looking for cam wanks and the like, its just that we seem to outnumber everyone else by about 10-1, so any women with a cam link naturally get all the attention.
Often, via email and the forum is better for getting a sense of what someone is about, I reckon.
